Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui manfaat limbah gula kelapa, daun johar dan daun bambu dalam proses pengomposan feses kambing. Bahan yang digunakan dalam pengomposan ini adalah feses kambing, daun johar, daun bambu, limbah gula kelapa, jerami padi, abu, kapur, dan molasses. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu tahap pertama pengomposan feses kambing dibuat dengan 4 perlakuan, masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 3 replikasi. Kompos perlakuan pertama (T1) tidak menggunakan limbah gula kelapa, daun johar, dan daun bambu, kedua (T2) tidak menggunakan daun johar, daun bambu, dan molasses, keketiga (T3) tidak menggunakan jerami padi dan molasses, dan keempat (T4): tidak menggunakan jerami padi, limbah gula kelapa, dan molasses. Parameter yang diamati suhu dan pH pengomposan. Tahap kedua uji kualitas kimia kompos meliputi: kadar air, bahan organik (BO), kabon organik (C), nitrogen (N), fosfor (P2O5), kalium (K2O), dan C/N rasio. Data yang diperoleh diuji statistik dengan analisis variasi rancangan acak lengkap pola searah. Perbedaan rerata perlakuan diuji dengan Duncan’s New Multiple range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kandungan unsur hara T1, T2, dan T4 yang sudah sesuai dengan SNI nomor 19-7030-2004 yaitu kadar nitrogen, kadar fosfor, dan kadar kalium, sedangkan kadar air, kadar bahan organik, kadar karbon, dan C/N rasio melebihi standar SNI. Kompos T3 sudah sesuai dengan standar kompos menurut SNI nomor 19-7030-2004 untuk parameter kadar air, kadar bahan organik, kadar karbon, kadar nitrogen, kadar fosfor, kadar kalium, dan C/N rasio. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan limbah gula kelapa, daun johar dan daun bambu berpengaruh terhadap proses pengomposan. THE UTILIZATION OF COCONUT SUGAR WASTE, JOHAR LEEVES, AND BAMBOO LEAVES IN THE GOAT FECES COMPOSTING PROCESS AT KULON PROGO Ruligia Pudwiastuti 07/PT/257333/PT/05423 ABSTRACT The huge amount of coconut sugar waste, johar leaves and bamboo leaves which utilised yet, if it not used, it could be contaminate to environment. Theis research was conducted to know the aim of coconut sugar, johar leaves and bamboo leaves in the goat feces composting process. The material was used are goat feces, johar leaves, bamboo leaves, coconut sugar waste, rice straw, ashes, limes, and molasses. This research has done by two steps. First, goat feces was made on 4 treatments, each treatment (T1) didn’t use coconut sugar waste, johar leaves, and bamboo leaves. Second (T2) didn’t use johar leaves, bamboo leaves, and molasses. Third (T3) didn’t use rice straw and molasses. And fourth (T4) didn’t use rice straw, coconut sugar waste, and molasses. The parameters which observed are temperature and composting pH. Step two of chemical test consist of water content, organic material, organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphor, kalium, and C/N ratio. The data was analyzed with analysis of patterns of variation in the direction of a complete randomized block design. The mean differences treatment was tested with Duncan’s New Multipe Range Test. The result was showed that nutrient content T1, T2, and T4 wich appropiate with SNI number 19-7030-2004 is nitrogen content, phosphor content and kalium content while water content, organic material content, carbon content, and C/N rasio are more than SNI The result T3 wich appropiate with SNI number 19-7030-2004 for water content parameter, organic material content, kalium content and C/N ratio. The conclution from the research is that coconut sugar waste ultilization, johar leeves, and bamboo leeves was influential on composting process.
