MAKNA HIDUP TOKOH SUNNY DALAM VIDEO GAME OMORI PERSPEKTIF ABSURDITAS ALBERT CAMUS

Video game OMORI merupakan indie RPG bertema horror-psikologis yang menceritakan kisah tokoh Sunny melalui trauma psikologis. Kisah tokoh Sunny dalam OMORI berpotensi merepresentasikan masalah eksistensial dan filosofis, sehingga penting untuk memahami hakikat dan makna kehidupan manusia dalam kisah tokoh Sunny. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji absurditas dan refleksi makna hidup tokoh Sunny melalui teori absuditas Albert Camus.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kasus aktual yang bersifat kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini diperoleh dari narasi tokoh Sunny dalam video game OMORI disertai dengan penelusuran Pustaka yang relevan. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode hermeneutis filosofis dan unsur metodis deskripsi, interpretasi, dan refleksi kritis.

Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Konstruksi pemikiran Absurditas Albert Camus dimulai dengan penyadaran akan absurditas, konfrontasi absurditas, konsekuensi absurditas, dan pahlawan absurd; (2) Kisah hidup tokoh Sunny dapat dikategorikan sebagai absurditas, dibuktikan dengan kehadiran absurditas melalui trauma psikologis yang Sunny alami, trauma ini menghancurkan hubungan Sunny dengan eksistensinya, lingkungan, serta dunia. Lalu disempurnakan oleh gejala dan opsi konfrontasi absurditas; (3) Kisah hidup tokoh Sunny merefleksikan makna kehidupan manusia, bahwa kehidupan merupakan anugerah yang harus diperjuangkan dan disyukuri.

OMORI is an indie RPG video game with a psychological horror theme that tells Sunny’s story through psychological trauma. Sunny's story in OMORI has the potential to represent existential and philosophical problems, so it is important to understand the nature and meaning of human life in Sunny's story. This research is conducted to examine the absurdity and reflection of Sunny's meaning of life through Albert Camus' theory of absurdity.

This research is a qualitative actual case study. The data source of this research is obtained from the narration of Sunny's character in the OMORI video game accompanied by a search for relevant literature. The research data is analyzed using the philosophical hermeneutic method and methodical elements of description, interpretation, and critical reflection.

The results of this study are: (1) Albert Camus's construction of the Absurdity thought begins with the awareness of absurdity, the confrontation of absurdities, the consequences of absurdity, and the absurd hero; (2) Sunny's life story can be categorized as absurdity, proved by the presence of absurdity through the psychological trauma that Sunny experienced, this trauma destroys Sunny's relationship with his existence, the environment, as well as the world. Then it is perfected by the symptoms and options of the conflict of absurdity; (3) Sunny's life story reflects the meaning of human life, that life is a gift that must be fought for and grateful for.
