Analisis aplikasi Web Service validasi kartu kredit

Web service merupakan kumpulan fungsi-fungsi berbasis aplikasi web yang bisa digunakan untuk membangun sebuah aplikasi lain. Web service dapat diimplementasikan di dalam berbagai macam platform yang mempunyai hubungan dengan internet. Dasar dari sebuah web Service adalah Simple Object Access Protocol dan Extensible Markup Language. Web service, menggunakan Hypertext Transfer Protocol dan SOAP untuk membuat sebuah data menjadi tersedia di dalam web. Pada saat User melakukan request, SOAP melalui HTTP (Internet) akan memanggil fungsi yang ada di server web Service untuk kemudian hasil dari fungsi tersebut dikembalikan ke user berupa data-data di dalam format XML. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti membangun sebuah aplikasi layanan web validasi kartu kredit berbasis SOAP. Pembangunan layanan web tidak selalu memiliki prosedur yang sama, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kompleksitas layanan tersebut, pemilihan flatform pendukung dan protocol yang dipilih. Kedua aplikasi web service ini dibuat dengan dukungan platform yang berbeda untuk menganalisis perbedaannya pada tahap perancangan, implementasi dan hasilnya.

Web service is a group of functions which are based web application that is able to used to build the other application. Web service is able to be implemented in many kinds of platforms that have connection with internet. The Web Service is Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Extensible Markup Language (XML). Basically, Web Service use to Hypertext Transfer Protocol and SOAP to provide the data available in the web. When user requesting, SOAP through HTTP (internet) will call a function in the Web Service Server and then result of the function is given back to user in XML format. The building of web service doesn’t have the same procedure, it’s affected by service complexity level, the choosing of platform supporter and protocol. In this paper, the researcher builds web service credit card validity application that based on SOAP. The web service is create by different platform for to analize how to different in design level, implementation and application.
