Hubungan Polifarmasi Dengan Potensi Interaksi Obat Pada Pasien Geriatri Rawat Jalan Di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta

Pasien geriatri memiliki penyakit yang kompleks. Hal ini menyebabkan pasien harus mendapatkan resep polifarmasi. Interaksi obat berdampak pada perubahan outcome terapi dengan menaikkan toksisitas atau menurunkan efektivitas dari obat-obat yang berinteraksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis hubungan polifarmasi dengan potensial interaksi obat pada pasien geriatri di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta.

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian observasi melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel secara retrospektif. Sampel diambil sejumlah 176 kasus dengan teknik penarikan sampel purposive sampling. Penelitian ini mengambil tempat di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta dengan menggunakan data rekam medis pasien geriatri rawat jalan yang terdaftar pada periode September - Desember 2023. Analisis data dengan metode regresi linier sederhana untuk melihat hubungan antara jumlah pemberian obat pada pasien geriatri dengan jumlah potensi interaksi obat yang muncul.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 176 kasus terdapat sebanyak 468 interaksi terjadi. Tingkat keparahan interaksi obat yang ditemukan paling banyak terjadi pada tingkatan moderat (73,72%), mayor (16,88%), minor (9,40%). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara polifarmasi dengan potensi interaksi obat pada pasien geriatri di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta (P value = 0,001).

Geriatric patients have complex diseases. This causes patients to be prescribed polypharmacy. Drug interactions have an impact on changing therapeutic outcomes by increasing toxicity or decreasing the effectiveness of interacting drugs. This study was conducted to analyze the relation between polypharmacy and potential drug interactions in geriatric patients at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta.

This study is a type of observational research through a cross-sectional approach with retrospective sampling. The sample was take as many as 176 case with purposive sampling technique. This study took place at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta using medical record data of outpatient geriatric patients registered at the geriatric clinic in period September - December 2023. Data analysis using the simple linear regression method to see the relation between the administration of the number of the drugs in geriatric patients and the number of potential drug interactions.

The results showed that out of 176 cases, 468 interactions occurred. The severity of drug interactions found mostly occurred at the moderate level (73,72%), major (16,88%), minor (9,40%). The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relation between polypharmacy and potential drug interactions in outpatient geriatric patients at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta (P value = 0,001).
