The student exchange program is increasingly popular among students. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology now also provides a student exchange scholarship program called the IISMA program. One of the goals of this program is to foster understanding and appreciation of other cultures. This study attempts to measure the factors that can contribute to achieving this goal, focusing on how interpersonal competence factors influence intercultural sensitivity. Using a quantitative approach, this research utilized online surveys administered to participants of the IISMA program in 2021 and 2022, both from bachelor's and vocational programs. Based on the analysis of 153 participants using SPSS software, the results showed that interpersonal competence significantly influences intercultural sensitivity with F = 33.430, p < 0>and effective contribution of 18.1%. These findings can be considered by prospective participants or organizers of the IISMA program to strengthen the interpersonal competence of participants, thereby maximizing their intercultural sensitivity, which ultimately promotes understanding and appreciation of other cultures."> The student exchange program is increasingly popular among students. Program pertukaran pelajar kini kian marak di kalangan mahasiswa. Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi kini juga menyediakan program beasiswa pertukaran pelajar yang dinamai program IISMA. Salah satu tujuan dari program ini yakni adanya pemahaman dan apresiasi terhadap kebudayaan lain. Penelitian ini mencoba mengukur faktor apa yang dapat mendorong terpenuhinya tujuan tersebut, yang mana peneliti akan mengkaji bagaimana peran faktor kompetensi interpersonal terhadap sensitivitas interkultural. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan survei yang diberikan secara daring kepada peserta program IISMA tahun 2021 dan 2022, baik dari program sarjana maupun vokasi.
