PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG KACANG SACHA INCHI (Plukenetia volubilis L.) PADA PAKAN TERHADAP BOBOT KARKAS DAN LEMAK ABDOMINAL AYAM BROILER

Peningkatan populasi penduduk di Indonesia mengakibatkan kebutuhan ayam broiler meningkat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan protein hewani. Sehingga perlu diperhatikan penggunaan pakan ayam yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung kacang sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) pada pakan terhadap bobot karkas dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 35 hari di kandang Close Housed (CH), Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Seratus ekor DOC (Day Old Chick) dibagi secara acak ke dalam empat kelompok perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak lima kali sehingga terdapat 20 DOC per perlakuan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu pakan basal tanpa penambahan tepung kacang sacha (SI-0) dan pakan dengan penambahan 0,5, 1, dan 2% tepung kacang sacha inchi (SI-0,5, SI-1, dan SI-2). Data yang diamati yaitu bobot akhir, bobot karkas, dan bobot lemak abdominal ayam broiler unur 35 hari. Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA (analisis variansi) berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Pola Searah. Jika terdapat perbedaan antar perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap bobot akhir ayam, bobot absolut karkas, persentase karkas, bobot absolut lemak abdominal, dan persentase lemak abdominal (P>0,05). Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung kacang sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) pada pakan dengan persentase berbeda tidak mampu meningkatkan bobot akhir ayam, karkas, dan lemak abdominal.
The increasing of population in Indonesia has led to a higher demand for broiler chickens. Due to the high demand, it must be accompanied by the use of good quality feed. This study aimed to determine the effect of the addition of sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) meal in feed to carcass weight and abdominal fat of broiler chicken. The research was conducted for 35 days in Close House (CH) cage at the Faculty of Animal Science, Gadjah Mada University. One hundred DOC (Day Old Chicks) were randomly divided into four groups of treatments and five replications. The treatments were basal feed without sacha inchi meal addition (SI-0) and 0,5, 1, and 2% sacha inchi addition (SI-0.5 , SI-1, SI-2). Feed and drink were given in ad libitum. The data observed were final weight, carcass weight, and abdominal fat weight. The analyzed Data used was ANOVA (analysis of variance) based on a Completely Randomized Design pattern. If there had been differences between treatments, it was continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The resilt showed that theres no significant effect in the final weight of the chickens, absolute carcass weight, carcass percentage, absolute abdominal fat weight, and abdominal fat percentage (P>0.05). It can be concluded that the addition of sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) meal in feed at different percentages could not increase the final weight of the chickens, carcass, and abdominal fat.
