Pengaruh faktor kontinjensi sebagai pemoderasi terhadap hubungan partisipasi pemakai dan keberhasilan sistem informasi di PTP Nusantara I-IV (Persero)

Partisipasi pemakai dalam pengembangan sistem informasi telah dipertimbangkan sebagai kunci keberhasilan sistem. Pendekatan kontinjensi banyak digunakan oleh para peneliti untuk mengetahui apakah keberhasilan sistem informasi selalu berpengaruh sama pada setiap kondisi. Untuk menjelaskan pengaruh tersebut, tiga faktor kontinjensi, sikap, keterlibatan pemakai, dan dukungan manajemen puncak dalam pengembangan sistem informasi di PT Perkebunan Nusantara I – XIV (Persero) diuji pengaruhnya terhadap hubungan partisipasi pemakai dan keberhasilan sistem informasi. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan terhadap 163 manajer unit usaha dari 14 perusahaan industri perkebunan di lingkup BUMN di Indonesia (PTP Nusantara I – XIV). Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei, untuk pengujian hipotesis digunakan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil penelitian menemukan, sikap pemakai, keterlibatan pemakai dan dukungan manajemen puncak merupakan variabel pemoderasi yang dapat memperkuat hubungan antara partisipasi pemakai dengan kepuasan pemakai dalam pengembangan sistem informasi di PT Perkebunan Nusantara I – XIV (Persero). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi para praktisi, untuk mengantisipasi faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan sistem informasi. Bagi akademisi untuk menjelaskan, bagaimana, kapan, dan dimana sikap pemakai, keterlibatan pemakai, dan dukungan manajemen puncak diperlukan agar dapat meningkatkan hubungan antara partisipasi pemakai dengan keberhasilan sistem informasi, dengan mengemukakan sifat hubungan yang dipengaruhi oleh kondisi yang berbeda.

Users’ participation in the development of information system has long been considered as the key to rhe success of information system. Most researchers utilize contingency approach to find out whether or not the success of information system has a similar effect in any condition. To explain the influence of contingency factors to the relation between users’ partisipation and the success of information system, three contingency factors, such as users’ attitude, users’ involvement, and top management support for the development of system information were examimined in PT Perkebunan Nusantara I - XIV ( Persero). Hypothesis examination was carried out to 163 plant managers from 14 stateowned companies of industrial plantation in Indonesia (PTP Nusantara I - XIV). Survey method was applied to garner data, while Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) was to do hypothetical examination. The result shows that users’ attitude, users’ involvement and top management support are the moderating variable which strengthen the relation between users’ participation and users’ satisfaction for the development of information system in PTP Nusantara I - XIV ( Persero). It is expected that this research might be useful for practitioners to anticipate the factors that effect the success of information system. Meanwhile, for academicians it might be useful to explain, how, when, and where users’ attitude, users’ involvement, and top management support are needed in order to step up the relation between users’ participation and the success of information system by means of revealing the characteristics of the relation which are, of course, influenced by different conditions.
