PENGARUH MAGGOT BLACK SOLDIER FLY SEBAGAI SUBSTITUSI BUNGKIL KEDELAI PADA RANSUM FINISHER TERHADAP ANIMAL WELFARE DAN BEHAVIOR AYAM BROILER

2024 | Skripsi | ILMU DAN INDUSTRI PETERNAKANPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan pakan tepung maggot BSF sebagai substitusi dari bungkil kedelai pada ransum finisher ayam broiler terhadap foot pad dermatitis, hock burn, breast dirtiness, dan behavior ayam broiler. Sebanyak 100 ekor Day Old Chick (DOC) dipelihara selama 35 hari dan mulai diberikan perlakuan pada hari ke-22 sampai hari ke-35 dengan dibagi secara acak menjadi 2 perlakuan. Setiap kelompok perlakuan dilakukan pengulangan masing-masing sebanyak 5 kali. Setiap pengulangan terdiri dari 10 ekor ayam broiler jantan dengan strain Indian River. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah P1 : pakan basal dengan kandungan bungkil kedelai 28,5%, P2: pakan basal dengan kandungan bungkil kedelai 18,5?n penambahan tepung maggot BSF 10%. Data yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu Foot Pad Dermatitis (FPD), hock burn, breast dirtiness, dan behavior ayam broiler. Data yang terdistribusi normal akan dianalisis menggunakan Two Sample Independent T-test. Apabila distribusi data tidak normal akan dianalisis dengan uji non parametrik menggunakan Uji Mann-Whitney (U-test). Analisis data dibantu dengan menggunakan Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan tepung maggot BSF sebanyak 10?lam ransum ayam broiler tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap FPD, hock burn, breast dirtiness, eat, drink, forage, stretch, preen, locomotion, dustbathe, play, passive, dan active pada ayam broiler.
This study aimed to determine the effect of BSF (Black Soldier Fly) maggot meal as a substitute for soybean meal in broiler finisher rations on foot pad dermatitis, hock burn, breast dirtiness, and broiler behavior. Broiler chickens of the Indian River strain were reared for 35 days, with treatments starting on day 22. A total of 100 day-old chicks (DOC) were randomly divided into two treatment groups with five replicates each. Each replicate consisted of 10 male broiler chickens. The treatments were: P1, a basal feed with 28.5% soybean meal; and P2, a basal feed with 18.5% soybean meal supplemented with 10% BSF maggot meal. The parameters observed included foot pad dermatitis (FPD), hock burn, breast dirtiness, and broiler behavior. Data that were normally distributed were analyzed using the Two-Sample Independent T-test. Non-normally distributed data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U-test. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS version 25. The results showed that the substitution of soybean meal with 10% BSF maggot meal in broiler rations had no significant effect (P>0.05) on FPD, hock burn, breast dirtiness, eating, drinking, foraging, stretching, preening, locomotion, dustbathing, playing, passive behavior, and active behavior in broiler chickens.
