Rusa Bawean (Axis kuhlii) merupakan satwa endemik Indonesia yang dilindungi. Populasi rusa ini mengalami penurunan jumlah akibat kerusakaan habitat alaminya dan perburuan liar. Salah satu usaha untuk memperbaiki habitatnya dapat dilakukan melalui pembinaan pakan Rusa Bawean sesuai dengan jenis pakan yang disukai. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui ada tidaknya kesukaan pakan pada Rusa Bawean, mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis pakan yang disukai dan yang tidak cleria hehecarpa), Ancucu (Pericampylus glaucus), lambu merah (l'aspulum c.:onjugurum), alang-alang (lmperata cylindrical), padi-padian (Centotheca lappacea), lente-lentean (Fimbristylis dichotoma), taliata (Lygodium circinnatum), kayu sape (Symplocos adenophylla).

Bawean's deer (Axis kuhlii) is protected Indonesian endemic animals. The deer population have been decreasing cause of damage on it's natural habitat and illegal hunting. One way to recovery their habitat by managing food of Ba wean' s deer that suitable with preferred food. The research aims to know there are preference on Bawean's deer, identification preferred food and unpreferred food and rank food spesies from the most preferred until the most unpreferred The method is used on this research by comparate proportion of used food spesies and proportion of available foJd spesies. Proportion of used food spesies is frecuention of food species that found in faecal analyze on Bawean's deer. While propotion of available food spesies is frecuention of food spesies that found on field plot. After known proportion of used food spesies and proportion of available food spesies, then be analyze use Chi-square of Goodness Fit-test, Bonferonni ConfiJ????nl interval and Selection Jndeh. Chi-square of Goodness Fittest use to determine there are preference on Bawean's deer, Bonferonni Confident interval use to determine preferred food and unprefered food, while Selection lndeks use to rank food spesies from the most preferred until the most unpreferred. Result from data analyze shows that Ba wean' s deer having food preference. Preferred food are gadung (Dioscorea hispida) and pele (Urena lobata) while unprefered food is taliata (J,ygodiwn circinnatum). Then, the rank of food spesies from the most preferred until the most unpreferred are kabakkabakan alas (Rrachiaria distachyya), talioar (Panicum cordayum), gadung (Dioscoreu hispida}, anericumpylus glaucw), lambu merah (Paspalum conjugatum), alang-alang (Jmperata cylindrical), padipadian (Centotheca lappacea), lente-lentean (Fimhristyli.,· dichotoma), taliata (/,yg0Ji11111 c11·c11111a111111), kayu sape (.\'ymplocos adenophylla).
