UKURAN TUBUH, BOBOT BADAN DAN HARGA DOMBA EKOR TIPIS DAN DOMBA EKOR GEMUK JANTAN YANG DIPERJUALBELIKAN MENJELANG IDUL ADHA DI KABUPATEN BANTUL DAN SLEMAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bangsa dan umur terhadap ukuran tubuh, bobot badan dan harga serta perbandingannya antara Domba Ekor Tipis (DET) dan Domba Ekor Gemuk (DEG) yang diperjualbelikan menjelang Idul Adha. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bantul dan Sleman selama bulan Oktober 2013 dengan menggunakan 50 DET dan 50 DEG. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengukuran ukuran tubuh, penimbangan bobot badan, melihat pergantian gigi, dan wawancara harga DEG dan DET. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah rancangan faktorial 2x2. Rata-rata panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi gumba, bobot badan, harga jual hidup per ekor dan harga jual hidup per kg DET berturut-turut adalah 58,9 ± 1,2 cm, 66,0 ± 2,0 cm, 62,0 ± 0,5 cm, 24,9 ± 1,2 kg, Rp 1.456.000,- ± 58.330,- dan Rp 58.380,- ± 1.506,-. Rata-rata panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi gumba, bobot badan, harga jual hidup per ekor dan harga jual hidup per kg DEG berturut-turut adalah 58,6 ± 0,9 cm, 71,8 ± 1,6 cm, 61,0 ± 0,4 cm, 30,2 ± 0,9 kg, Rp 1.587.000,- ± 46.140,- dan Rp. 54.040,- ± 1.192,-. Berdasarkan hasil analisis faktorial 2x2 ditunjukkan bahwa bangsa berpengaruh signifikan terhadap lingkar dada, bobot badan dan harga jual hidup per kg. Bangsa tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap panjang badan, tinggi gumba dan harga jual per ekor domba. Faktor umur tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi gumba, bobot badan, harga jual hidup per kg maupun harga jual hidup per ekor domba. Lingkar dada DEG lebih besar daripada DET dan bobot badan DEG lebih berat daripada DET. Harga jual hidup per ekor DEG lebih mahal daripada harga jual hidup per ekor DET. Harga jual hidup per kg DET lebih mahal daripada DEG. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini yaitu dari segi ukuran tubuh hanya lingkar dada DEG yang lebih besar daripada DET dan dari segi bobot badan DEG lebih berat daripada DET. Dari segi harga, hanya harga jual hidup per ekor DEG yang lebih mahal daripada DET. Kata kunci : ukuran tubuh, bobot badan, harga, DET, DEG

BODY SIZE, BODY WEIGHT AND PRICE OF MALE LOCAL JAVANESE THIN TAIL SHEEP AND JAVANESE FAT TAIL SHEEP WHICH SOLD TOWARD IDUL ADHA IN BANTUL AND SLEMAN REGENCY Agustina Winarni Budi Utami 08/270443/PT/05585 Abstract The research was conducted to evaluates the effect of breed and age on the body size, body weight and price of Local Javanese Thin Tail (LJTT) and Javanese Fat Tail (JFT), and also to compares the body size, body weight and price sold toward Idul Adha celebration. This research have been done in Bantul and Sleman Regency in Oktober 2013 used 50 LJTT and 50 JFT. This research have been done with measurement of body size, weighing body weight, seen the change of teeth, and interview about the price of LJTT and JFT. Data were analyzed by using factorial analysis 2x2. The result showed that the average of body lenght, heartgirts, shoulder height, body weight, selling price per head and selling price per kg of LJTT was 58.9 ± 1.2 cm, 66.0 ± 2.0 cm, 62.0 ± 0.5 cm, 24.9 ± 1.2 kg, Rp 1,456,000,- ± 58,330,- dan Rp 58,380,- ± 1,506,-. The result showed that the average of body lenght, heartgirts, shoulder height, body weight, selling price per head and selling price per kg of JFT was 58.6 ± 0.9 cm, 71.8 ± 1.6 cm, 61.0 ± 0.4 cm, 30.2 ± 0.9 kg, Rp 1,587,000,- ± 46,140,- dan Rp 54,040,- ± 1,192,-. The result showed that the breed were significant effect on the heartgirts, body weight and the selling price per kg. The breed factor were didn’t give significant effect on body length, shoulder height and the selling price per head of the sheep. Heartgirts of JFT was bigger than LJTT and the body weight of JFT heavier than LJTT. The selling price per head of JFT more expensive than the selling price per head of LJTT. The selling price per kg of LJTT more expensive than JFT. The age factor were didn’t give significant effect on body lenght, heartgirts, shoulder height, body weight, selling price per head and selling price per kg of the sheeps. The conclusion of this research was showed that the heartgirts of JFT bigger than LJTT and based on the body weight of JFT heavier than LJTT. Based on the price, the selling price per head of JFT more expensive than DET. Key words : body size, body weight, price, Local Javanese Thin Tail, Javanese Fat Tail.
