Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupatcn Kebumen, sebagai salah satu Kabupaten yang memiliki jumlah dan potensi obyek wisata yang relatif banyak. Penelitian ini berjudul "Perkembangan Obyek Wisata dalam Kontribusinya terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah di Kabupaten Kebumen Sebelum dan Setelah Penerapan Otonomi Daerah". Tujuan utama penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan obyek wisata di Kabupaten Kebumen dan kontribusi sektor pariwisata khususnya dari pendapatan obyek wisata terhadap pendapatan asli daerah sebelum dan setelah penerapan otonomi daerah. Variabel dalam penelitian adalah 1 ) perkembangan obyek wisata dengan indikator pendapatan obyek wisata, jumlah pengunjung obyek wisata, dan dana dari pemerintah; 2) kontribusi pendapatan obyek wisata terhadap pendapatan asli daerah dengan indikator pendapatan obyek wisata dan pendapatan asli daerah. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah pendapatan obyek wisata, jumlah pengunjung obyek wisata, dana dari pemerintah untuk obyek wisata, dan pendapatan asli daerah. Data tersebut merupakan data dalam kurun waktu 10 (sepuluh) tahun yaitu dari tahun 1994-2003. - Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode gabungan antara metode deskriptif, metode - statistik dan metode spasial. Metode deskriptif yaitu suatu metode yang menggambarkan fenomena-fenomena atau hubungan antar fenomena yang diteliti dengan sistematis, faktual dan akurat. Metode statistik adalah-metode dengan perhitungan-perhitungan tertentu secara statistik. Metode spasial adalah metode dengan mendasarkan peta sebagai dasar analisis.- Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan obyek wisata setelah penerapan otonomi daerah lebih baik dibanding sebelum penerapan otonomi daerah. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil analisis yang menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan obyek wisata, jumlah pengunjung obyek wisata dan dana dari pemerintah untuk obyek wisata setelah penerapan otonomi daerah lebih besar dibandingkan sebelum penerapan otonomi daerah. Kontribusi pendapatan obyek wisata setelah penerapan otonomi daerah persentasenya lebih kecil dibandingkan sebelum otonomi daerah. Namun demikian berdasarkan hasil uji t, diperoleh hasil bahwa persentase rata¬rata kontribusi pendapatan obyek wisata terhadap pendapatan asli daerah sebelum dan setelah penerapan otonomi daerah adalah sama. Hal ini disebabkan karena peningkatan pendapatan obyek wisata sebagai salah satu unsur dari pendapatan asli daerah belum mampu mengimbangi peningkatan unsur-unsur lain dalam pendapatan asli daerah.

This research is conducted in Kebumen regency, which has a lot of potential object tourism. This research title is "The Object Tourism Development in Its Contribution to The Basic Regional Incomc in Kebumen Regency Before and After Regional Autonomy". The main purpose of the research is to know how are the object tourism development in Kebumen regency and the contribution of tourism sector especially from the tourism income to the basic regional income. The research variables are the object tourism development by the indicators of object tourism income, the amount of tourist, fund from the government; and the contribution of the tourism income in the basic regional income by the indicators of object tourism income and the basic regional income. The research data are the object tourism income, the amount of tourist, the fund from the government for tourism object, and the basic regional income. The used data are during_the_whole ten years, from 1994 to 2003. The research method is combination methods between descriptive method, statistic method and spatial method. Descriptive method is describes some phenomena or their relation with systematic, factual and accurate. Statistic method is a method-that used statistical analysis. Spatial method is a method that use map as the basic analysis. The research result shows that the object tourism in Kebumen regency after the regional -autonomy is better than before the regional autonomy. Its cause of the analysis result that's show the tourism income, the amount of tourist and fund from the government for the object tourism after the regional autonomy are bigger than before. The percentage of the contribution of the tourism income after the regional autonomy is smaller than before the regional autonomy. From the t test analysis output shows that the percentage rates of the contribution of the tourism income to the basic regional income before and after the regional autonomy is same. That's cause of the increase of the tourism income as one of the substance of basic regional income cannot balance the increase of the others substances
