Faktor Prediktor yang Mempengaruhi Lama Waktu Mencapai Eutiroid pada Pasien Hipertiroid

Penyebab hipertiroid tersering pada anak adalah penyakit Grave, goiter toksik multinodular dan adenoma toksik soliter. Terapi farmakologis merupakan pilihan utama terapi hipertiroid dan lamanya waktu pengobatan mempengaruhi tingkat kejadian remisi. Keberhasilan terapi farmakologis dapat diprediksikan dengan mengetahui faktor prediktor yang mempengaruhi lama waktu mencapai eutiroid.
Background: Hyperthyroidism is a severe disorder that rarely occurs in the pediatric age group. The most common causes of pediatric hyperthyroidism are Grave's disease, multinodular toxic goitre, and solitary toxic adenoma. Pharmacologic therapy is the leading choice of hyperthyroid therapy, and the length of treatment time affects the incidence of remission. The success of pharmacologic therapy can be predicted by knowing the predictor factors that affect the length of time to reach the euthyroid.
Objective: To determine the predictors that influence the length of time to reach euthyroid and the time needed to reach euthyroid for the first time after receiving antithyroid drugs.
Methods: Analytical observational research with a retrospective cohort design with secondary data obtained from patient medical records at DR Sardjito Hospital from 2019 - 2023. Subjects were patients aged one year - 18 years who were diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in the Pediatric Endocrine Clinic. The analysis used survival analysis with Kaplan Meier curves followed by Cox regression analysis to assess independent predictors of euthyroid achievement.
Results: Age and cigarette smoke exposure were not independent factors as predictors. An increase in fT4 value < 151>Conclusion: The initial thyroid function values described by decreased TSH values and increased fT4 values affect the speed of time it takes to reach the euthyroid for the first time after receiving antithyroid drugs.
