Pemanasan global disebabkan oleh meningkatnya konsentrasi gas rumah kaca di atmosfer terutama oleh gas karbondioksida (CO2). Vegetasi pohon sebagai penyerap karbon tentu memiliki peran yang sangat penting. Program Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) dan Reduced Emission for Degradation and Deforestation (REDD) merupakan salah satu solusi dalam menghadapi pemanasan global melalui pengurangan emisi karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuJc mengetahui kandungan karbon jenis sengon di hutan rakyat Desa Panusupan dan Desa Limpakuwus, membuat persamaan allometriknya, dan menaksir harga penjualan karbon di hutan rakyat tersebut. Metode pengukurannya yaitu dengan melakukan penebangan untuk pengambilan sampel dari masing-masing organ pohon sengon. Data sampel kemudian di analisis di laboratorium, dihitung biomassanya dan kemudian diarangkan. Kandungan karbon terikat diketahui dengan melakukan analisis kadar air, kadar zat menguap, dan kadar abu. Potensi kandungan karbon ditaksir untuJc seluas hutan rakyat masing-masing di Desa Panusupan dan Limpakuwus. Harga penjualannya didapatkan dari harga jual karbon per ton dikalikan dengan potensi kandungan karbon yang ada di hutan rakyat Desa Panusupan dan Limpakuwus. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kandungan karbon yang dihasilkan oleh pohon sengon untuJc ukuran diameter batang 12,44 cm tiap organ pohon sengon adalah 2,356 kg (akar), 11,586 kg (batang), 1,502 kg (cabang), dan 0,372 kg (daun). Abstract Global warming is caused by the increase of green house gases concentrate in atmosphere especially carbon dioxide gas. Tree vegetation as carbon absorber absolutely have an important function. Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Reduced Emission from Degradation and Deforestation (REDD) programs is one of the solution to face global warming through reducing carbon emission. This research is aimed to know the carbon contents of Sengon tree in Panusupan and Limpakuwus Village's community forest, formulate the allometric formula, and estimate the price of carbon trade in those community forest. The measuring method is with harvesting to take the sample from each organ of Sengon tree. Then, sample data is being analyzed in laboratory, then its biomass is being calculated and dried. Attached carbon substance are known from water charcoal test, volatile matter test, and sawdust substance test. The Potential of carbon contents is estimated for a whole of each Panusupan and Limpakuwus Village's community forest. Selling prices is taken from carbon prices per ton times by carbon contents in Panusupan and Limpakuwus Village's community forest. Result of this study show the carbon contents that produced by Sengon trees with stem diameter measure 12,44 cm in each organ of Sengon trees, that is 2,356 kg (root), 11,586 kg (stem), 1,502 kg (branch), dan 0,372 kg (leaves).
