PERBANDINGAN VISUAL ENCOUNTER SURVEY DENGAN PASIF ACOUSTIC MONITORING PADA OBJEK BURUNG DI DESA PURWOSARI, GIRIMULYO, KULONPROGO

Penelitian keanekaragaman yang akurat sulit dilakukan di daerah keanekaragaman hayati tinggi. Mengumpullkan data inventaris keanekaragaman hayati yang memadai merupakan tantangan tersendiri seperti kurangnya sumberdaya manusia, keterbatasan waktu, dan ketidakmampuan para ekolog dalam mengambil data di lingkungan yang sulit digapai. Metode pengambilan data ekologi passive-acoustic monitoring (PAM) muncul sebagai pelengkap atau alternatif untuk penghitungan poin Visual yang dilakukan di lapangan, akan tetapi beberapa penelitian perbandingan kedua methode tersebut masih jarang dilakukan di daerah tropis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan Methode PAM dengan methode Visual Count Sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lokasi perbukitan menorah khususnya di Desa Purwosari, Girimulyo, Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui Komposisi Akustik di Desa Purwosari; 2) membandingkan hasil yang diperoleh dari methode Passive Acoustic Monitoring dan Visual Encounter Sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 1 September-29 November 2023 di Lereng Nggirgadung, desa Purwosari, Girimulyo, Kulonprogo. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat 83 Tipe suara yang terekam oleh alat recorder akustik, 61 diantara memiliki frequensi <5000Hz>

Accurate diversity research is difficult in high biodiversity areas. Collecting adequate biodiversity inventory data is challenging due to lack of human resources, time constraints, and the inability of ecologists to collect data in inaccessible environments. The passive-acoustic monitoring (PAM) ecological data collection method has emerged as a complement or alternative to Visual Encounter Survey conducted in the field, but several comparative studies of the two methods are still rarely carried out in the tropics. This study aims to analyze the comparison of the PAM method with the Visual Count Sampling method. This research was conducted in the location of the menorah hills, especially in Purwosari Village, Girimulyo, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region. This study aims to 1) determine the Acoustic Composition in Purwosari Village; 2) compare the results obtained from Passive Acoustic Monitoring and Visual Encounter Sampling methods. This research was conducted on September 1 - November 29, 2023 on the Nggirgadung Slope, Purwosari village, Girimulyo, Kulonprogo. The results obtained from this study are 83 types of sounds recorded by acoustic recorder, 61 of which have frequencies <5000Hz>
