HUBUNGAN ANTARA UKURAN TUBUH DENGAN BOBOT BADAN DAN KARKAS KUDA JANTAN YANG DIPOTONG DI RUMAH PEMOTONGAN HEWAN PERORANGAN SEGOROYOSO, PLERET, BANTUL Kusumaning Tyas Fajarwati 04/181682/PT/04876 Intisari Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ukuranukuran tubuh dengan bobot badan dan karkas kuda. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 35 ekor kuda jantan. Data yang diambil meliputi, lingkar dada, lebar dada, dalam dada, tinggi gumba, tinggi pinggul dan lebar pinggul, panjang badan, bobot badan dan bobot karkas. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi Pearson 2 tailed, dan analisis regresi sederhana metode backward. Korelasi antara lingkar dada (X1, dalam dada (X2), lebar dada (X3), tinggi gumba (X4), tinggi pinggul (X5), lebar pinggul (X6), panjang badan (X7) dengan bobot badan (Y) berturutturut adalah 0,440, 0,398, 0,394, 0,493, 0,533, 0,462, 0,299. Korelasi antara lingkar dada (X1, dalam dada (X2), lebar dada (X3), tinggi gumba (X4), tinggi pinggul (X5), lebar pinggul (X6), panjang badan (X7 dengan bobot karkas (Y) berturut-turut adalah 0,544, 0,452, 0,436, 0,630, 0,649, 0,603, 0,421. Hasil analisis regresi antara ukuran tubuh dengan bobot badan kuda jantan adalah Y= -208,008 + 3,56x3 + 2,576x5 dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,372. Hasil analisis regresi antara ukuran tubuh dengan berat karkas kuda jantan adalah Y = -175,626 + 0,769x2 + 0,946x5 + 2,695x6. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan erat antara ukuran tubuh dengan bobot badan.dan karkas. Ukuran yang yang hubungannya paling kuat adalah tinggi pinggul. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BODY MEASURENMENT WITH BODY WEIGHT AND CARCASS OF MALE HORSE IN THE PRIVATE SLAUGHTERHOUSE INSEGOROYOSO, PLERET, BANTUL Kusumaning Tyas Fajarwati 04/181682/PT/04876 Abstract The research was conducted to obverse the relationship between body measurenment with body weight and carcass of horse. Thirty five male horses were used for the researh. Data collected were body weight, heart girth, height of withers, and heigt of hips. Data was analyzed by Pearson 2 tailed correlation, simple regression backward method. The correlation between heart girth, depth , width of chest and height of withers, height and width of hips, body lenght, with body weght were 0.440, 0.398, 0.394, 0.493, 0.533, 0.462, 0.299 respecively. The correlation between circumference , depth , width of chest and height of withers, height and width of hips, body lenght, and weight of carcasses respectively are 0.544, 0.452, 0.436, 0.630, 0.649, 0.603, 0.421. The result of regression analyzed between body measurenment with body weight of male horses is Y= -208,008 + 3,56x3 + 2,576x5 with determination coeffesient 0,372. The result of regression analyzed between body measurenment with weight of carcass male horse is Y = -175.626 + 0.769x2 + 0.946x5 + 2.695x6. It was concluded there were positif and high correlation between body measurenment, body weight and weight of carcass. The measurenment has the best correlation is height of hips.
