DEGRADASI SUPLEMEN SUMBER ENERGI DAN PROTEIN TERPROTEKSI PADA RUMINANSIA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sabun kalsium sebagai agen proteksi terhadap nilai kecernaan suplemen sumber energi dan protein terproteksi. Pada penelitian ini digunakan empat bahan pakan yaitu minyak ikan Lemuru terproteksi (MILT), bungkil kedelai terproteksi (BGKT), minyak ikan Lemuru terproteksi + bungkil kedelai (MILT+BGK) (1:1) dan bungkil kedelai tanpa proteksi (BGKTP). Penentuan nilai degradasi dengan menggunakan metode in sacco. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 2 jam, 4 jam, 8 jam, 12 jam, 16 jam, 24 jam, 36 jam dan 48 jam. Paramater yang diamati yaitu nilai degradasi bahan kering, dan bahan organik. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan uji Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata nilai degradasi bahan kering dan bahan organik dalam rumen berbeda nyata diantara masing-masing perlakuan. Nilai DT untuk MILT, BGKT, MILT+BGK, dan BGKTP berturut-turut pada tahap rumen adalah 90,95%; 77,00%; 76,48% dan 77,70% untuk bahan kering dan 93,69%; 94,22%; 86,91% dan 76,58% untuk bahan organik. Hasil dari proteksi terhadap minyak ikan lemuru dan bungkil kedelai dengan sabun kalsium dianggap kurang efektif dalam menurunkan nilai degradasi bahan kering dan bahan organik. Hal ini dikarenakan tingginya tingkat degradasi BK dan BO yang terjadi dalam rumen. Kata Kunci: Degradasi, In Sacco, Proteksi, Bungkil Kedelai, Minyak Ikan Lemuru

This study was conducted to determine the effect of using calcium soap as protective agent on the digestibility of protected energy and protein supplements. Materials used in this study were four kind of feed stuffs that were protected lemuru fish oil (PLFO), protected soybean meal (PSBM), fish oil + soybean meal lemuru protected (PLFO + SBMP) (1:1) and soybean meal without protection (SBMWP). Degradation values were determinated using in sacco method. Observations carried out at the 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 16 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours and 48 hours. Parameters observed were the degradation of dry matter and organic matter. Data analysis used in this research was Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the average degradation value of dry matter and organic matter in the rumen were significantly different between each treatment. DT value for PLFO, PSBM, PLFO + SBMP, SBMWP consecutive rumen stage were 90.95%; 77.00%; 76.48% and 77.70% for dry matter and 93.69%; 94.22%; 86.91% and 76.58% for organic matter. Results shown by protection against lemuru fish oil and soybean meal which combined with the calcium soap was considered less effective in reducing the degradation of dry matter and organic matter. This was due to the high level of degradation of dry matter and organic matter occurred in the rumen. Key Words: Degradation, In Sacco, Protection, Soybean Meal, Lemuru Fish Oil
