Vaccination is a preventive measure to protect cats from various diseases caused by infectious agents. The purpose of this study is to determine the vaccination status of cat patients at the Kuningan Veterinary Clinic, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University (Department of IPD-FKHUGM).
This study used 20 medical records of cat patients with unspecified breeds at the Kuningan Veterinary Clinic, Department of IPD-FKHUGM for the period January 2023. The medical record data used includes vaccination status and age of the cats. The obtained data is then analyzed descriptively.
The results showed that 17 out of 20 cats (85%) had never been vaccinated and 3 out of 20 cats (15%) had been vaccinated. Based on age, cats that had never been vaccinated consisted 5 out of 5 cats (100%) in the 2-3 month age group, 2 out of 4 cats (50%) in the 4-6 month age group, 7 out of 7 cats (100%) in the 7-12 month age group, and 3 out of 4 cats (75%) in the > 12 month age group. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 85% of cat patients during January 2023 at the Kuningan Veterinary Clinic, Department of IPD-FKHUGM have not been vaccinated.
