Endless Love :: Representasi modern kosmologi Korea

Penelitian ini mengkaji drama serial Korea Endless Love sebagai salah satu representasi modern kosmologi Korea, bukan semata muatan hiburan dan teknik pembuatan film. Kerangka teori yang digunakan adalah kerangka pemikiran Strukturalisme Levi-Strauss dengan metode penelitian kualitatif, yaitu pengamatan dan wawancara mendalam. Dari sekian banyak drama serial yang diciptakan bangsa Korea, ditemukan perulangan-perulangan khas yang teratur, baik dari segi penokohan maupun peristiwa; maka dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa perulangan yang terjadi pada tataran unsconciousness adalah jati diri bangsa Korea yang memuat kekayaan budaya yang terdalam, pesan khusus, serta harapan terdalam terhadap dunia luas. Di dalam drama serial Endless Love ditemukan titik-titik penting tokoh yang membangun struktur dalam kaitannya dengan peristiwa pada kisah. Tokohtokoh tersebut memunculkan sosok yang berupa transformasi dari konsep eumyang/ yin-yang ‘berlawanan’, konsep chon- ji- in ‘surga-dunia-manusia’, dan konsep o-heng ‘geomancy’. Bentuk perbedaan jenis kelamin, status, posisi, tingkat pendidikan, sifat, nasib dan hal-hal yang saling berbalik adalah transfomasi dari struktur elemen dua (konsep eum-yang/yin-yang ‘berlawanan’). Adapun peristiwa yang memunculkan relasi kakak beradik-mantan adik, relasi perempuan dan dua kekasih, relasi serangan dua teman terhadap tokoh sentral, dan relasi serangan adik dan mantan kekasih terhadap tokoh sentral adalah transformasi struktur elemen tiga (konsep chon - ji- in ‘surga-dunia-manusia’); dan lima tokoh penting yang saling memiliki relasi di dalam keseluruhan drama serial Endless Love; yakni tokoh sentral sebagai (kakak, mantan kakak, sahabat, tunangan) memiliki relasi dengan adik, mantan adik, sahabat, dan tunangan adalah transformasi dari struktur elemen lima (konsep o-heng ‘geomancy’). Peristiwa terpisahnya kakak-beradik, terpisahnya ibu-anak, dan terpisahnya ayah-anak oleh kasus anak tertukar, terpisahnya hubungan kekasih, berikut runtutan harapan akan terjadinya pertemuan adalah pesan khusus dalam tataran nirsadar tentang harapan bangsa Korea akan terjadinya reunifikasi antara Korea Utara dan Korea Selatan. Struktur elemen dua (konsep eum-yang/yin-yang ‘berlawanan’), elemen tiga (konsep cho - ji - in ‘surga-dunia-manusia’), elemen lima (konsep o-heng ‘geomancy’), pesan, dan harapan akan terjadinya reunifikasi antara Korea Utara dan Korea Selatan termuat di dalam karya drama serial Korea Endless Love. Kategori penokohan dan peristiwa di dalam drama serial Korea memiliki bentuk transformasi dengan struktur kosmologi Korea. Kosmologi tersebut bersumber dari ajaran Konfusianisme dan Tao yang menjalin relasi dengan life cycle bangsa Korea. Elemen dua yang membangun elemen tiga, dan elemen tiga kemudian membangun elemen lima membentuk suatu relasi antarelemen di dalam drama serial Endless Love dan melalui kerja paradigmatik-sintagmatik kemudian memunculkan bentuk model khas; piramida.

This research analyzes the Korean serial drama “Endless Love” as a representation of Korean cosmology, nothing other than sets of equipment of entertainment and movie technical making. Here, the theory frame applied Levi- Strauss Structuralism and the method is qualitative approach that is the indepth interview and observation. This research found that from many serial dramas which are made by Korean there are orderly typical repetitions; which are characterizations or occurrences. Therefore from this research it can be concluded that repetitions which occurred in the unconsciousness level are the identity of Koreans that contains the deepest culture richness, special message, and the deepest expectation toward the wide world. This research also found important points figure that build structure in concerning with the occurrence in that story. That figures appear something in form of transformation of the eum-yang/yin-yang ‘opponent’ concept, chon-ji-in ‘heaven-earth-man’ concept, and o-heng ‘geomancy’ concept. The form of sex differences, status, position, academic degree, character, destiny, and the other thing that to turn around mutuality is the transformation form the structure of the element of two (eum-yang/yin-yang concept). The other one is the occurrences that appear the relation between brother-sister and ex-sister, the relation of girl and two beloveds, the relation of the offensive of sister and exfiancée to the central figure is the transformation of the element of three (chon-jiin concept); and five important figures that have relation in the all of Endless Love serial drama; such as the central figure (brother, ex-brother, best friend, fiancée) has relation to sister, ex-sister, best friend, and fiancée is the transformation from the structure of the elements of five (o-heng ‘geomancy’ concept). The occurrence of brother-sister separation, mother-daughter separation, and father-daughter separation through the child change, the beloved relation separation, together with hopes the occurred of the reunification are the unconscious message the Korean hope of the reunification for North Korea and South Korea. The structure of the element of two (eum-yang/yin-yang ‘opponent’ concept), the element of three (chon-ji-in ‘heaven-earth-man’ concept), element of five (o-heng ‘geomancy’ concept), message, and expectation for reunification between North and South Korea have firmly been contained in the Korean serial. The characters and occurrences in the Korean serial drama have clear transformational shape with the Korean cosmology structure. That cosmology is derived from the Confucianism doctrine and Tao that weave and braid together the relation with Korean life cycle. The inter-element relation in the Endless Love serial drama through the paradigmatic-syntagmatic work to appear the specific model; pyramid. The element of two, element of three, and element of five build this model.
