Kinerja pertumbuhan bab i keturunan landrace yang mengkonsumsi pakan subtitusi tepung ikan dengan ekskreta puyuh

Pene litian ini menggunakan 12 ekor ternak babi jantan kastrasi keturunan Landrace berumur 2,5 bulan dengan berat awal 13,8 ± 2,52 kg dibagi secara acak menjadi 4 macam perlakuan pakan, yaitu (P0) Broiler II (BR II), bekatul, tepung ikan (sebagai kontrol); (P1) BR II, bekatul, subtitusi 10% tepung ikan dengan tepung ekskreta puyuh ; (P2) BR II, bekatul, subtitusi 20% tepung ikan dengan tepung ekskreta puyuh ; (P3) BR II, bekatul, subtitusi 30% tepung ikan dengan tepung ekskreta puyuh. Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 3 ekor ternak babi. Variabel yang diamati meliputi pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi pakan (konsumsi bahan kering, protein kasar, energi), konversi pakan dan feed cost/gain. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis variansi dengan rancangan acak kelompok pola searah dan menggunakan uji lanjut Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi pakan termasuk konsumsi bahan kering,konsumsi protein kasar dan konsumsi energi; konversi pakan dan feed cost/gain tidak berpengaruh nyata (P > 0,05), namun perlakuan P2 lebih efisien meningkatkan performans pertumbuhan ternak babi karena mampu meningkatkan pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi pakan sebaliknya menurunkan konversi pakan dan feed cost/gain dibanding perlakuan lain dan subtitusi 30% tepung ikan dengan ekskreta puyuh menyebabkan penurunan pertumbuhan.
The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of partly substitution of fish meal in the diet with quail excreta on the performance of the growth of crossbreed Landrace pig. Twelve (12) castrated male crossbreed Landrace pig of approximately 2,5 months of age with an initial live weight of 13,8 ± 2,52 kg were used in this study, and were randomly divided into four (4) dietary treatments, namely: (P0) Ration composed by Broiler II (BR II), rice bran, fish meal (controle); (P1) BR II, bran and subtitution 10% fish meal with quail meal; (P1) BR II, rice bran and subtitution 20% fish meal with quail meal; (P1) BR II, rice bran and subtitution 30% fish meal with quail meal. Each group (unit) consisting of three (3) pigs. The variable being measured were average of daily gain (ADG), feed consumption (dry matter consumption, energy matter, crude protein intake), feed conversion and feed cost per gain. The collected data were analyzed by using one way analysis of variance, with Block Randomized Design. Significant differences between means were compared by Duncant’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result of the study showed that the average daily gain; feed intake including dry matter, energi matter and crude protein intake; feed conversion and feed cost per gain were not significantly different (P > 0,05), but substitution 20% fish meal with quail excreta had improved growth performance, by increasing its average daily gain, feed consumption and lower feed conversion and feed cost per gain than other treatments, while subtituting 30% fish meal with quail excreta decreased growth performance.
