Pemanfaatan SMS Gateway dalam rancang bangun sistem informasi pariwisata DIY berbasis SMS

An SMS-based system for the DIY Tourism Information System has been designed, implemented and tested. This system enables mobile phone user to access touris m information through their mobile phone. The SMS-based Tourism Information System has the ability to give information from its database about tourism objects, stars hotels, melati hotels, hotels around a certain tourism objects location and tourism news. These information is given in SMS form on user mobile phone based on user keyword. The SMS-based Tourism Information System developed in this research may improve the DIY government services to tourists visiting / planning to visit the province of DIY. Sistem Informasi Pariwisata DIY Berbasis SMS telah dirancang, diimplementasikan dan di uji coba. Sistem ini memungkinkan ponsel pemakai mengakses informasi pariwisata melalui ponsel mereka. Sistem Informasi Pariwisata DIY Berbasis SMS mempunyai kemampuan untuk memberikan informasi dari basis datanya tentang obyek-obyek pariwisata, hotel berbintang, hotel melati, hotel disekitar obyek wisata dan berita-berita terbaru seputar pariwisata DIY. Informasi disajikan dalam bentuk SMS yang diterima pada ponsel pemakai berdasarkan query keyword yang dikirimkan oleh pemakai ke sistem informasi ini. Sistem Informasi Pariwisata DIY Berbasis SMS yang dirancang-bangun disini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pelayanan Pemerintahan Propinsi DIY terhadap wisatawan yang sedang atau akan berkunjung ke Propinsi DIY.
