Menyingkap Kekhasan Pengalaman Perempuan Pekerja Perkebunan

Saat ini perempuan banyak terlibat dalam berbagai sektor pekerjaan formal maupun informal. Namun, banyak pandangan bahwa perempuan dianggap sebagai pekerja kelas kedua atau tenaga kerja pelengkap. Hal ini terjadi terhadap perempuan yang bekerja di PT Perkebunan Teh Harum Melati. Penelitian-penelitian terdahulu belum banyak yang berfokus membahas pengalaman hidup perempuan pekerja. Oleh karena itu muncul pertanyaan ‘bagaimana pengalaman hidup perempuan yang bekerja di pabrik teh PT Perkebunan Teh  Harum Melati?’. Untuk menjawabnya digunakan teori Feminist Standpoint gagasan Nancy Hartsock yang menekankan pada pentingnya pengalaman perempuan untuk menghasilkan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan model studi kasus. Dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pengalaman perempuan pekerja dalam tiga arena kehidupannya (di rumah, di tempat kerja, dan komunitas) akan saling terkait dan membentuk suatu pengalaman khas. Kekhasan pengalaman perempuan pekerja yaitu perempuan yang bekerja memiliki keluwesan dalam berpindah-pindah perannya di tiga arena kehidupannya secara utuh. 

Currently, women are involved in various formal and informal work sectors. However, there are many views that women are considered second-class workers or complementary labor. This is the case for women who work at PT Perkebunan Teh Harum Melati. Not many previous studies have focused on discussing the life experiences of women workers. Therefore, the question arises 'how is the life experience of women who work in the tea factory of PT Perkebunan Teh Harum Melati?'. To answer this, Nancy Hartsock's Feminist Standpoint theory is used, which emphasizes the importance of women's experiences to produce knowledge. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study model. From this research, it is concluded that the experiences of women workers in their three arenas of life (at home, at work, and in the community) will be interrelated and form a distinctive experience. The uniqueness of the experience of working women is that working women have the flexibility to move between their roles in the three arenas of life as a whole.
