Penelitian
ekperimental semu dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design
telah dilakukan dengan melibatkan 36 anak di TK ABA Ngoro-oro, Kapanewon Patuk,
Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen
dilakukan dengan membandingkan video karakter animasi dengan video animasi
tanpa karakter terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan menyikat gigi anak prasekolah.
Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis mengunakan Mann
Witney.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebesar 88,89% anak prasekolah mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan menyikat gigi setelah diberikan intervensi berupa video animasi. Kelompok perlakuan dengan video karakter animasi mampu meningkatkan nilai pengetahuan menyikat gigi sebesar 3,89, dibandingkan pada kelompok kontrol dengan video animasi tanpa karakter yang mampu meningkatkan nilai pengetahuan menyikat gigi sebesar 1,55. health problems in preschool children can be prevented by educating them about proper
tooth-brushing. Animated videos could be an after native option to become an
educational media. The characters in animated videos have an important role in
conveying the storyline and are able to increase children's focus and create a
fun, educational atmosphere. This study aims to determine the effect of
characters in animated videos on increasing toothbrushing knowledge in
preschool children aged 4-6 years. Quasi-experimental research with a
pretest-posttest control group design was conducted involving 36 children at
the TK ABA Ngoro-oro Kapanewon Patuk, Gunungkidul Regency. This research uses a
quantitative experimental method by comparing animated character videos with
animated videos without characters to increase preschool children's
toothbrushing knowledge. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire
with Mann Withney analysis . The research results showed that 88.89%
of preschool children experienced an increase in their toothbrushing knowledge after
being given intervention in the form of an animated video. The treatment group
with animated video characters was able to increase toothbrushing knowledge by
3.89, compared to the control group with animated videos without characters
which were able to increase toothbrushing knowledge by 1.55. The results of
