Vulkanik Hard Rock kualitas baik (RMR 61-80), Lapilli Tuff Soft Rock kualitas
baik (RMR 61-80), Batugamping Hard Soil kualitas
sedang (RMR 41-60), dan Pasir-lempung Very Soft Soil. Berdasarkan
pengamatan terdapat dua sesar geser sinistral diperkirakan yang memiliki arah
Barat Daya-Tenggara. Estimasi maksimum intensitas gempa di daerah penelitian
mencapai 64-74 gal.
kualitas sedang hingga mencapai 110-114 gal.
The Solo-Yogyakarta-YIA Toll Road is a national strategic project that
will connect the city of Surakarta, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and the
Yogyakarta International Airport. This toll road will contribute to improving connectivity
on the island of Java as part of the Trans Java Toll Road network. The focus of
this research is on Section III of the route located in the Kokap District,
Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, at a scale of 1:25,000. The
study involves an investigation into the geological engineering
characteristics, including geomorphological aspects, geology, geological
structures, rock mass quality using the RMR method, soil and rock index
properties, and soil and rock engineering properties. The research is then
followed by a geological disaster assessment, specifically earthquake analysis,
examining seismic response in terms of amplification resulting from geological
and engineering conditions. The study reveals three geomorphological units consisting
of the remnants of volcanic hills, denudational hills, and alluvial plains with
dendritic drainage patterns and slope classes ranging from 0% to 4% up to
70%-140%. There are four geological engineering units, including Good Quality
Volcanic Breccia Hard Rock (RMR 61-80), Good Quality Lapilli Tuff Soft Rock
(RMR 61-80), Medium Quality Limestone Hard Soil (RMR 41-60), and Very Soft Soil
Clay. Based on observations, two sinistral strike-slip faults are estimated to
have a Southwest-Southeast direction. The maximum estimated earthquake
intensity in the research area reaches 64-74 gal. Considering the engineering
properties of the rock mass in the study area, significant amplification occurs
in the very soft soil clay unit, reaching 170-200 gal, and in the
medium-quality hard soil limestone unit, reaching 110-114 gal.
