This study intends to identify the organizational health profile of BPKP as one of the public sector organizations. In addition, this study will also explore the determinants of organizational health and the implications at the individual and organizational levels if public sector organizations can pay attention to their organizational health. This research was designed using mixed methods using questionnaires developed from the Organizational Health Scale (Singh & Jha, 2018) and Healthy Workplace Practices (Grawitch et al., 2007), as well as interview and documentation analysis using the PATH (Practices for the Achievement of Total Health) model (Grawitch et al., 2006). Respondents who had filled out the questionnaire as many as 198 BPKP employees in various work units were used as samples for quantitative analysis, while interviews were conducted with 6 resource persons involved in the BPKP Health Index survey in 2021 and 2022.
The results show that the organizational health of BPKP is at a level of 74.75% of the maximum value or in a "Healthy" condition. This is in accordance with the results of self-measurement conducted through the BPKP Health Index survey in 2021 and 2022. Factors related to human resource management are the most contributing components to organizational health, while factors related to work-life balance are the least contributing components. In addition, this study also found that BPKP's organizational health conditions have not provided employee outcomes that support Employee Well-Being. This is due to the inequality of work demands and competency development that is focused on the objectives of leadership succession. On the other hand, BPKP's organizational health has provided organizational outcomes that support the Value Proposition in the form of BPKP's service quality both internally and externally. However, Employee Well-Being has not shown a symbiotic relationship with BPKP's Value Proposition. This is because Employee Well-Being has not been the main objective in identifying and improving BPKP's Organizational Health.
