Pillars of Leadership in Relation to Turnover Intention and Career Commitment: Perceived Supervisor Support towards Work-Life Balance as a Moderator

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dinamika interaksi antara Pilar - Pilar Kepemimpinan (POL), intensi keluar (TI), dan komitmen karir (CC) dengan fokus tertentu pada peran moderasi dukungan yang dirasakan dari atasan terhadap keseimbangan pekerjaan dan kehidupan (PSS WLB). Data primer mengenai POL, TI, CC, dan PSS WLB dikumpulkan dari 229 karyawan muda di sektor konstruksi di Indonesia melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Kemudian, analisis partial least squares structural equation modelling (SEM-PLS) dengan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS3 digunakan untuk menguji data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif signifikan antara POL dan TI. Selain itu, data menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara POL dan CC. Uji moderasi juga menunjukkan bahwa PSS WLB tidak terbukti memoderasi pengaruh negatif POL terhadap TI. Namun, PSS WLB bertindak sebagai moderasi pada hubungan positif POL terhadap CC. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada literatur yang telah ada dan memperluas wawasan pad amanajemen mengenai dampak Pilar - Pilar Kepemimpinan milik atasan terhadap intensi keluar dan juga komitmen karir milik karyawan, serta peran krusial dukungan atasan terhadap keseimbangan pekerjaan dan juga kehidupan. Penelitian ini bersifat orisinal dan praktis, menggambarkan signifikansinya dari perspektif implikasi penelitian dan praktikal. 

This study explores the dynamic interplay among Pillars of Leadership (POL), turnover intention (TI), and career commitment (CC), with a specific focus on moderating role of perceived supervisor support towards work-life balance (PSS WLB). The primary data on POL, TI, CC, and PSS WLB were collected from 229 young employees in the construction industry in Indonesia using quantitative methods. Partial least squares structural modeling (SEM-PLS) analysis using SmartPLS3 were conducted to examined the data. The findings reveal significant negative relationship between POL and TI. Additionally, the data illustrates a positive association between POL and CC. Moreover, PSS WLB was found to moderate the positive influence of POL on CC. However, PSS WLB not acted as moderating variable that influence the negative relationship between POL and TI. These research findings contribute to existing literature and equip management with insights into the impact of Pillars of Leadership on turnover intention and career commitment, as well as the crucial role of supervisor support for work-life balance. This research represent an authentic and practical examination, drawing its importance from both theoretical and practical implications.
