QUALITATIVE CONTENT ANALYSIS OF NEWS RELEASE IN THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF VOCATIONAL COLLEGE UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA

Struktur penulisan News Release yang baik dibuktikan dengan kelengkapan unsur 5W1H, susunan piramida terbalik, dan dokumentasi foto. Pada Proyek Akhir ini, penulis melakukan analisis isi kualitatif terhadap News Release yang diunggah pada website sv.ugm.ac.id. Penulis mengambil 5 sampel yang berbeda masing-masing pada tahun 2021, 2022, 2023 untuk dianalisis. Selain itu, untuk menambah data pendukung penelitian ini, penulis menambahkan referensi dari jurnal dan artikel website. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membedah struktur teks News Release dan mengetahui hubungan antara foto dan teks dalam News Release. Kemudian, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Humas Sekolah Vokasi UGM mengalami peningkatan yang positif dalam penulisan News Release. Dari lima contoh News Release yang disajikan pada tahun 2021, tiga di antaranya mengikuti struktur yang benar, dan dua di antaranya berhasil menerapkan pendekatan piramida terbalik dengan baik. Pada tahun 2022, dari lima contoh News Release yang disajikan, tiga di antaranya mengikuti struktur 5W1H yang sesuai, sementara empat di antaranya telah menggunakan pendekatan piramida terbalik secara efisien. Sedangkan pada tahun 2023, dari lima contoh News Release yang disajikan, empat di antaranya mengikuti struktur yang sesuai, sementara lima di antaranya telah menggunakan pendekatan piramida terbalik dengan efisien. Berdasarkan lima belas sampel News Release yang diteliti, hubungan antara foto dan teks berita berkaitan erat untuk saling melengkapi informasi.

A good News Release writing structure is proven by the completeness of the 5W1H elements, the inverted pyramid arrangement, and photo documentation. In this Final Project, the writer conducted a qualitative content analysis of the News Release uploaded on the sv.ugm.ac.id website. The writer took 5 different samples each in 2021, 2022, 2023 for analysis. Apart from that, to add supporting data to this research, the writer added references from journals and website articles. The aim of this research is to dissect the structure of the News Release text and identify the relationship between photos and text in the News Release. Then, the results of this research show that the Public Relations of the UGM Vocational College has improvement in writing News Releases. Among the five News Release samples from 2021, three adhere to the proper structure of 5W1H, and two effectively employ the inverted pyramid method. In 2022, out of the five News Release samples, three maintain an appropriate structure, while four efficiently utilize the inverted pyramid approach. In the case of 2023, among the five News Release examples, four maintain the suitable structure, and five effectively apply the inverted pyramid approach. Based on the fifteen news release samples studied, the relationship between photos and news text is closely related to complementing each other's information.
