Partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan obyek wisata alam sangat dibutuhkan demi keberhasila, yang dicanangkan yaitu untuk pendapatan masyarakat dan kelestanan alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan obyek wisata Grojogan Sewu yang terdiri dari tingkat partisipasi ide, tingkat partisipasi tenaga dan tingkat partisipasi pemanfaatan masyarakat . dalam pengelolaan obyek wisata Grojogan Sewu, dan menganalisis pengaruh kondisi sisial ekonomi masyarakat terhadap tingkat partisipasi, serta mengetahui penerapan ma-syarakat terhadap prinsip-prinsir ekowisata di dalam kawasan wisata. \,fot,:,de penclitian ini adalah survai. Teknik pcngambilan sampel dilaku.kan dengan purposive sampling (bertujuan) yaitu dilaku.kan dalam hal pernilihan lokasi penelitian dan pemilihan responden untuk memperoleh data dari kuisioner dan waw::tI1cara. Lokasi penelitian ini di obyek wisata Grojogan Sewu. Responden yang dimak.sud dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat desa terdekat dengan lok.asi obyek wisata Grojogan Sewu yaitu masyarakat Kelurahan Tawangmangu dan Kel11rahan Kaliroso. Respoden yang dipilih merupakan masyarakat sekitar kawasan obyek wisata yang terlibat dalam pengelolaan maupun pemanfaatan obyek wisata. People participation in managing tourism object is necessary for success in improving people income and nature conservation. This research had objective to investigate people participation in managing Grojogan Sev.u tourism resort consisting of participation level of idea, power, and community usage in managing Grojogan Sewu tourism resort and to analyze effect of social economic condition on participation level and identify implementation of ecotourism principle in tourism resort. The research used survey method. It also used Sample purposive sampling technique in determining research site and selecting respondent to get data from questionnaire and interview. Research location is in Grojogan Sewu tourism resort. Respondent consisted of people in villages near the res01t from Tawangmangu village and Kaliroso village that involve in management or usage of the resort. Measurement of people participation level used rating method by summing total score to determine high, moderate, or low pa1ticipation. To analyze social economic co1 1dition of the community it sued CI square analysis, where result of asymptotic ????ignificant <0.05 indicate that the factor can influence people participation level. Interview to respondent was carried out to identify application of ecotourism principle. Classification between respond of have or have ;:10t applied is made as percentage so application of ecotourism principle can be measured. Results indicated that participation level in aspects of idea, man power, and usage are high (44%), moderate (52%), and low (72%), respectively. Factors in:luencing participation level were education and job type. Age, income, and sex did 10t influence people participation. People have applied ecotourism principle will with average ecotourism principle application score of 50%.
