PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SARI BUAH MERAH (Pandanus conoideus) TERHADAP JUMLAH ERITROSIT, KADAR HEMOGLOBIN, NILAI PCV DAN TPPMENCIT (Mus musculus) YANG DIINFEKSI Toxoplasma gondii

Toksoplasmosis merupakan penyakit zoonosis parasitik yang disebabkan oleh Toxoplasma gondii. Sari buah merah mengandung tokoferol, betakaroten yang bersifat sebagai antioksidan yang dapat memperbaiki sistem imun tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian sari buah merah terhadap eritrosit, hemoglobin, PCV dan TPP pada mencit yang diinfeksi Toxoplasma gondii sehingga dapat mermberikan alternatif pengobatan herbal untuk mengatasi Toksoplasmosis. Sebanyak 15 ekor mencit Balb/C, jantan, umur 3 bulan, berat badan sekitar 30 gram digunakan sebagai hewan percobaan. Mencit dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok yaitu kelompok I (kontrol), kelompok II (diinfeksi takizoit Toxoplasma gondii), kelompok III (diinfeksi Toxoplasma gondii dan diberi sari buah merah). Tiap kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor mencit. Pemberian sari buah merah pada kelompok ketiga dimulai pada hari pertama sebanyak 0,53 g/kg BB/ekor/hari. Mencit kelompok II dan kelompok III diinfeksi dengan takizoit Toxoplasma gondii strain RH 1x103 per ekor mencit disuntikkan secara intraperitoneal. Pengambilan darah pada lima ekor tiap kelompok melalui canthus medialis dilakukan pada hari ke 7 dan ke 12. Pemeriksaan darah dilakukan di Laboratorium Patologi Klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan universitas Gadjah Mada. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan hasil yang signifikan dilanjutkan dengan Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai eritrosit, hemoglobin, PCV antara kelompok I, II, III sebelum dan sesudah infeksi takizoit Toxoplasma gondii tidak ada perbedaan signifikan (P>0,05). Nilai TPP antara kelompok I, II, III sebelum dan sesudah infeksi takizoit Toxoplasma gondii menunjukkan ada perbedaan signifikan (P>0,05) dengan analisis Duncan’s Multiple Range Test.

Toxoplasmosis was a parasitic zoonosis disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii. The buah merah juice contains tocopherol and betacaroten as antioxidant and it can repair the bodies immune system. This research aim to know the effect of buah merah juice on eritrocyte, haemoglobin, the value of PCV and TPP in mice which infected by Toxoplasma gondii, so this study can be one of alternative herbal therapy to eliminate Toxoplasmosis. This research used 30 of Balb/C mice, male, agethree months, the body weigted about 30 gram, They devided into three groups where group I (control), group II (tachyzoite infection), and group III (tachyzoite infected and given red friut’s essence). Group III start given buah merah juice on first day with 0,53 g/kg BW a mice/day. Mice in group II and III were infected by injection Toxoplasma gondii tachyziote 1x103 a mice intraperitoneally. The blode is taken from five mouse in each group at 7th and 12th day pass through cantus medialis. The blood was examinated in Clinical Pathology Laboratory, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), then Duncan’s Multiple Range Test for the significant result. There was no significant difference (P>0,05) on eritrocyte, haemoglobin, and PCV’s value between group I, group II and group III before and after infection of Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoite. TPP’s value between group I, group II and group III before and after infection of Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoite there was significant difference (P<0,05) when analyzed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test.
