Hubungan Konstitusi Fisik dan Kualitas Hidup pada Lansia yang Terdiagnosis Diabetes Mellitus di Kelurahan Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman

Latar Belakang: Lansia berisiko mengalami Diabetes Melitus (DM) karena penurunan fungsi organ. DM menyebabkan kualitas hidup lansia menurun. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup adalah kesehatan fisik. Jika kesehatan fisik seseorang menurun, maka kualitas hidupjuga akan terpengaruh. Kesehatan fisik dalam pengobatan Cina disebut juga dengan konstitusi fisik. Pengukuran konstitusi fisik dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution.

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konstitusi fisik dan kualitas hidup pada lansia dengan DM di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Berbah (Kalurahan Sendangtirto)

Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis analitik dan rancangan cross-sectional. Responden adalah lansia dengan DM di Sendangtirto sejumlah 53 orang dengan menggunakan teknik simmple-random sampling. Penelitian dimulai bulan Maret hingga Mei 2023. Dua instrumen digunakan utuk mengumpulkan data. Kuesioner Traditional Chinese MEdicine Constitution (TCMC) digunakan untuk mengukur konstitusi fisik dengan hasil pengukuran akhir akan mengkategorikan responden dalam kelompok sakit, tidak sakit, dan pra sakit. Kuesioner WHOQOL-BREF untuk mengukur kualitas hidup. Uji analisis menggunakan korelasi Kendall Tau untuk mengetahui hubungan dua variabel.

Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil skor konstitusi fisik, 46 responden (86.79%) masuk ke dalam kelompok sakit, 7 responden (17.31%) dalam kelompok tidak sakit. Responden dengan kualitas hidup sedang sebanyak 46 (86.79%) dan kualitas hidup tinggi 7 (13.21%). Hasil uji korelasi Kendall Tau terkait hubungan antara skor akhir konstitusi fisik dengan skor akhir kualitas hidup memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (p=<0 r=0.299)>

Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas hidup dan kosntitusi fisik pada lansia dengan penyakit DM di Kelurahan Sendangtirto. 

Background: The elderly is at risk of developing Diabetes Mellitus (DM) due to decreased organ function. DM causes the quality of life of the elderly to decrease. One of the factors that affect quality of life is physical health. If a person's physical health declines, then the quality of life will also be affected. In Chinese medicine, physical health is also called as physical constitution. Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution or physical condition can assess a person's health condition.

Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between physical constitution and quality of life in the elderly with DM in the working area of the Berbah Health Center (Kelurahan Sendangtirto)

Methods: This is quantitative research approach with analytical types and cross-sectionall design. The respondents were 53 elderly with DM in Sendangtirto recruited by using simple-random sampling techniques. The study runs from March to May 2023. The questionnaire uses the Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution (TCMC) wich consists of 9 types of physical contitutions with the final meansurement result will categorize respondents in the sickness, not-sickness, and pre-sickness groups. WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used to measure quality of life. The analysis test uses Kendall Tau correlation to determine the relationship between two variables.

Result:  Based on the result of the physical constitution score, 46 respondents (86.79%) in the sickness group, 7 respondents (17.31%) in the group were not sickness. Respondents with a moderate quality of life were 46 (86.79%) and a high quality of life of 7 (13.21%). The result of the Kendall Tau correlation test related to the relationship between physical constituion and quality of life had a significant relationship (p=<0 r=0.299)>

Conclusion: Physical constitution and quality of life have a significant relationship in the elderly with DM in Sendangtirto Village.
