ANALISIS KORELASI FAKTOR KESALAHAN PILOT DAN FAKTOR NON KESALAHAN PILOT PADA KECELAKAAN PESAWAT TERBANG

Kecelakaan pesawat, sering kali disebabkan oleh faktor manusia atau kesalahan pilot. Studi - studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa meskipun faktor manusia berkontribusi paling besar terhadap kecelakaan pesawat, aktor manusia tersebut tidak berdiri sendiri secara independen. Terdapat keterkaitan antara faktor manusia dengan faktor-faktor lainnya. Dalam penelitian ini, keterkaitan antara kesalahan pilot dan penyebab lain kecelakaan pesawat dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik dan analisis kualitatif lanjutan untuk mengetahui kemungkinan penyebab lain kecelakaan pesawat yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kesalahan pilot. Dengan meninjau 96 data kecelakaan pesawat terbang komersial generasi ketiga dari tahun 2012 - 2022, diketahui bahwa kecelakaan pesawat terbang akibat kondisi cuaca berkemungkinan besar disertai oleh kesalahan pilot, sementara kecelakaan pesawat terbang karena kegagalan mekanik berkemungkinan kecil disertai oleh kesalahan pilot. Analisis lebih lanjut terhadap kedua penyebab tersebut dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kedua faktor tersebut mempengaruhi terjadinya kesalahan pilot. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bird strike, kegagalan mekanik, cuaca, pemuatan barang tidak tepat, petir, dan faktor lain - lain mempengaruhi terjadinya kesalahan pilot. Analisis kualitatif lanjutan menunjukkan bahwa kausalitas pada hubungan yang didapatkan dengan regresi logistik berbeda - beda untuk setiap faktor penyebab kecelakaan. Detail dari kausalitas tersebut dibahas lebih lanjut pada penelitian ini.

Airplane accidents, especially accidents in commercial airplanes, are mainly caused by human factors or pilot error. Previous studies showed that even though human factors contribute most to airplane accidents, they are also interrelated with other factors contributing to the occurrence of human factors. In this study, the interrelationship between pilot error and other causes of airplane accidents was analyzed using logistic regression and advanced qualitative analysis to determine the odds of other causes of airplane accidents influencing the occurrence of pilot error. Using 96 accidents involving third generation commercial airplanes accidents from 2012 - 2022, we found that the cause of airplane accidents that contribute to the occurrence of pilot error is weather condition while the cause of airplane accidents that lessens the occurrence of pilot error is mechanical failure. Further analysis for the two causes was done to determine how those two factors affect the occurrence of pilot error. The results are bird strikes, mechanical failures, weather, inappropriate baggage loading, thunder, and others are significant causes of pilot error. Further qualitative analysis shows that the causality of the relationship obtained by logistic regression is different for each of the factors that cause accidents. The details of the causality are discussed further in this study.
