Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Fungsi Hutan Kota Boyolali Sebagai Ruang Terbuka Publik Hijau

Hutan Kota Boyolali merupakan salah satu bentuk ruang terbuka hijau yang ada di Boyolali. Keberadaannya perlu dikembangkan untuk menjaga keseimbangan kesehatan lingkungan di samping peningkatan pembangunan dan aktivitas masyarakat. Pengembangan hutan kota diperlukan adanya peran serta masyarakat dan pengelola. Salah satu bentuk peran masyarakat dilihat dari persepsi positif yang dimiliki masyarakat. Persepsi yang dihasilkan berasal masyarakat pengguna hutan kota. Untuk itu, diperlukan analisis untuk mengetahui persepsi yang dihasilkan dari masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik masyarakat, mengetahui persepsi masyarakat, dan mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik dengan persepsi masyarakat terhadap Hutan Kota Boyolali.

Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 pengunjung hutan kota. Jumlah sampel tersebut dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dan diberikan persentase nilai untuk dibuat tabel berdasarkan skala Likert. Setelah itu dilakukan uji Chi- Square untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik dengan persepsi masyarakat.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik masyarakat beragam, baik pada karakteristik umur, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan kunjungan. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap fungsi hutan kota menunjukkan hasil rata-rata pada tingkat setuju dan sangat setuju. Hubungan karakteristik dengan persepsi Hutan Kota Boyolali menunjukkan hasil bahwa hampir semua karakteristik masyarakat tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap persepsi masyakarat, kecuali pada karakteristik kunjungan masyarakat yang memiliki hubungan secara signifikan terhadap persepsi pada aspek fungsi konservasi.

Boyolali City Forest is one form of green open space in Boyolali. Its existence needs to be developed to maintain the balance of environmental health alongside the development and activities of the community. The development of the city forest requires the participation of the community and managers. One form of community participation is seen through the positive perception held by the community. The perception generated come from the community as users of the city forest. Therefore, an analysis is needed to determine the perceptions generated by the community. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristic of the community, understand community perception, and identify the relationship between characteristic and community perceptions towards Boyolali City Forest.

The study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a sample size of 100 visitors to the city forest. The sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula. The data obtained were then analyzed and presented as percentage values to create a table based on the Likert scale. After that, a Chi-Square test was conducted to determine the relationship between characteristics and community perceptions.

The research results show that the characteristics of the community are diverse, including age, gender, education, occupation, and visits. The community's perception of the functions of the city forest indicates an average result at the agree and strongly agree levels. The relationship between characteristics and perceptions of Boyolali City Forest shows that almost all community characteristics do not have a significant relationship with community perceptions, except for the characteristic of community visits, which has a significant relationship with perceptions regarding the conservation function aspect.
