The UN's MINUSTAH operation (Mission des Nations Unies pour la stabilization en Haïti) in Haiti claimed to have successfully improved conditions in the country over its 13-year span from 2004-2017. Two dominant claims of this success are that (1) the implementation of MINUSTAH was able to bring Haiti towards the consolidation of democracy?the implementation of conducive elections?as well as (2) the success of the reconstructing HNP?which is seen as the main villain from existing socio-political problems. However, reflecting on the certain condition during the mission, those claims are doubted. This thesis will deconstruct those claims by Foucault's thoughts on the relationship between ideology/knowledge and power. Through this lens, this thesis argues that UN intervention missions are predominantly never neutral and aligned with a certain ideology. Two main focuses of this thesis: how the UN's successful claim on MINUSTAH is operated under a specific regime of knowledge and the influence of operations on the Haitian society's political-social aspects
