Keberadaan h,Jtan lindung sangat berarti bagi rnasyarakat c!esa hutan. Peman:fuatan hutan yar:g terns menerus tanpa disertai pengelolaan yang baik dapat menimbulkan kerusakan hutan. Masyarakcit menyadari bahaya yang diakibatkan oleh kerusakan hutan, sehingga mereka berupaya untuk memperbaiki kondisi hutan yang sudah rusak ters????but Program hutan kemasyarakatan merupakan jalar. keluar untuk perbaikan kawasan hutan dan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat desa hutan. Hal ini sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, yaitu untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan rrogram hutan kemasyarakatan oleh KTH "Suko Makmur" dan peranan pendapatan dari program hutan kemasyarakatan dalam upaya peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat desa hutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 48 anggota KTH "Suko Makmur" Dusun Girinyono, Desa Sendang Sari, Kecamatan Pengasih, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode purposive dan metode survey. Pengumpulan data primer dengan menggur.akan kuesioner, sedangkan untLik data sekun

Existence of protected forest is meaning full for society of forest cmmtryside. Continuous fort;st exploitation without accompanied by the good management can generate the forest damage. Societies realize the danger which is resulted from forest damag????, so they cope to improve the forest condition. The community forestry program represents the way out for the repair of forest area and make-up of economics of society of forest countryside. It's make this research appropriate to the aim that is know the execution of the cc,mmunity forestry program by KTH "Sul:o Makr:mr" and the earnings from the social forestry program in the effort make-up of earnings of society of forest countryside. This research is conducted at 48 member KTH "Suko Makmur" Orchard Girinyono, Co1mtryside of Sendang Sari, Enllmored Sub district Pengasih, Regency of Kulon Pro go. The basic method used is purposive method and survey method. The collecting of Primary Data by using questioner, while for the c;econdary data use the interview method, observation and from existing data. Analyze method of the data for the first purpose is using interview method, while for the second purpose by using formula to look for the percentage total earnings of society of social forestry program. Result of research shows that execution of the community forestry program goes well, trough there be still struggling of land by some member. Existence the social forestry program felt by its benefit for society economics. Role mean of the social forestry program equal t() 6,40 %, with the contribution range from 0,74 % up to 40,32 %. Level of role of the community forestry program still felt too low, this matter is caused by its execution newly walk i: 2 year.
