Refleksi Kritis Atas Sistem Zonasi Pada Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru Dalam Perspektif Filsafat Pendidikan Progresivisme

Penelitian sistem zonasi pada penerimaan peserta didik baru atau PPDB dalam perspektif filsafat pendidikan progresivisme dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya ketidakmerataan mutu dan akses pendidikan pada tiap sekolah dengan maraknya label favorit dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia. Stigma tersebut membuat para peserta didik kesulitan dalam mengakses layanan pendidikan yang bermutu dan berkualitas. Sistem zonasi sebagai kebijakan baru dengan ketentuan utama berdasarkan pada konsep jarak antara rumah ke sekolah hadir sebagai solusi dalam permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konsep sistem zonasi pada penerimaan peserta didik baru dalam perspektif filsafat pendidikan progresivisme dalam melihat permasalahan yang dihadapi selama penerapan sistem tersebut. 

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dengan menjelaskan bahan penelitian atau pustaka terkait sistem zonasi pada penerimaan peserta didik baru dan filsafat pendidikan progresivisme sebagai landasan berfikir. Jalannya penelitian ini lewat empat tahapan yakni, inventaris data, klasifikasi data, analisis dan pengolahan data, lalu penyusunan laporan. Analisis hasil pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik hermeneutika filosofis dengan unsur-unsur metodis yakni deskripsi, interpretasi, koherensi, dan analisis. 

Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil sebagi berikut. Pertama, sistem zonasi bertujuan sebagai upaya dalam pemerataan mutu dan akses pendidikan serta jaminan terselenggaranya pendidikan tanpa diskriminasi. Kedua, progresivisme sebagai salah satu aliran filsafat pendidikan menghendaki adanya perubahan dalam sistem pendidikan supaya lebih maju dengan menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek utama dalam pendidikan. Ketiga, sistem zonasi memiliki warna progresivisme dalam penerapannya di mana hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari adanya kesesuaian berkaitan dengan tujuan serta konsep pendidikan yang diusung oleh keduanya. Sistem zonasi merupakan sebuah akses atau sarana dalam mencapai tujuan pemerataan pendidikan yang diususng oleh filsafat pendidikan progresivisme.

Research on the zoning system on the acceptance of new students or PPDB in the perspective of the philosophy of progressivism education is motivated by the inequality of quality and access to education in each school with the rise of favorite labels in the education system in Indonesia. This stigma makes it difficult for students to access quality education services. The zoning system as a new policy with the main provisions based on the concept of the distance between home and school is present as a solution to this problem. This study aims to explain the concept of the zoning system on the acceptance of new students in the perspective of progressivism educational philosophy in view of the problems encountered during the implementation of the system. 

The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method by explaining research materials or literature related to the zoning system for the acceptance of new students and the philosophy of progressivism education as a basis for thinking. The course of this research went through four stages, namely, data inventory, data classification, data analysis and processing, then report preparation. Analysis of the results in this study used a philosophical hermeneutic technique with methodical elements namely description, interpretation, coherence, and analysis.

From this research, the following results were obtained. First, the zoning system aims to be an effort to equalize the quality and access to education as well as guarantee the implementation of education without discrimination. Second, progressivism as a school of educational philosophy requires changes in the education system so that it is more advanced by placing students as the main subject in education. Third, the zoning system has the color of progressivism in its application, which can be seen from the compatibility with regard to the educational goals and concepts promoted by both. The zoning system is an access or means of achieving the goal of educational equality promoted by the progressivism educational philosophy.
