Walaupun atr terdapat dimana-mana namun ketersediaannya terbatas sehingga terjadi ketidakseimbangan distribusi air menurut waktu dengan kecenderungan banjir pada musim penghujan dan kekeringan pada musim kemarau. Kebutuhan air yan???? meningkat untuk pertanian dan kebutuhan sehari­hari menjadi masalah di daerah Sub DAS Segoro Anakan yang mengandalkan hujan sebgai sumber air utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui neraca air dan prediksi simpanan air dengan pendekatan IPA (lndeks Persediaan Air) di Sub DAS Segoro Anakan. Neraca air diperlukan untuk mengetahui ketersediaan air hujan di suatu wilayah. Metode yang digwiakan dalam penelitian menurut Thomthwaite dan Mather ( 1957) dan data yang diperlukan adalah data rerata curah hujan bulanan, data rerata suhu bulanan dan nilai water holding capacity. Dari kombinasi antara suhu dan Ietak Iintang suatu daerah akan diperoleh evapotranspirasi potensial, selanjutnya ditentukan nilai defisit dan surplus air yang terjadi. Nilai Indeks Persediaan Air (IPA) diperokh dari perhitungan data potensi air (run off) dan data kebutuhan air. Dari basil analisis mem.mjukkan bahwa pada musim kering daerah ???? mengalami defisit air sebesar 0. lO mm dan 0,21 mm yang terjadi pada Bulan Juli­Agustus. Pada musim pengh????ian daerah ini mengalarni surplus air sebesar 912,09 mm/tahun. Prediksi simpanan air daerah ini dalam kondisi buruk dengan nilai IP A 0,49. Hal ini berarti potensi air ????curah hujan) tidak mencukupi kebutuban air daerah tersebut.

ABSTRACT Although water exists in everywhere its availability is limited, so there is an unbalancing water distribution based on time with tendency to be a flood in the rainy season and drought in the dry season. The water necessity becomes higher for farming and daily needs. This situation results some troubles on Sub DAS l Segoro Anakan which depends on rainfal as the water rainfall is the major water source of the area. The objective of this research is to study the water balance and water holding prediction with IPA (Water Supply Index) approach in Sub DAS Segoro Anakan. Water Balance is used to analyze the availability of rain water in some areas. The method applied in this research based on Thomthwaite and Mather (1957). Data required for this research includes average monthly rainfall, air temperature and water holding capacity value. The potential evapotranspiration was analyzed using the combination between temperature ad place of latitude n area, then the deficit value and water surplus that happens can be calculated. The water supply index (IPA) value was calculated from data of water potential (run off) and data of water necessity. This research shows that in the dry season this area suffers water deficit of 0.10 mm and 0.21 mm that happen on July and August. Respectively in the rainy season this area suffers water surplus of 912.09 mm/year. The prediction of water saving (IPA value of 0,49) showed the bad condition. In
