PADA PASIEN SALPINGITIS KRONIS, SALPINGITIS AKUT, DAN TUBA NORMAL


Abstrak



Latar belakang: Salpingitis terjadi pada sekitar 15% wanita usia reproduksi, yang akan mengakibatkan 2,5?ri mereka menjadi tidak subur. Faktor aktivasi sel B (BAFF) merupakan sitokin proinflamasi yang mengatur respons imun bawaan dan adaptif. Ekspresi mRNA BAFF pada tuba falopi manusia yang meradang lebih tinggi daripada tuba falopi normal. SOD dan GPx merupakan enzim detoksifikasi di tuba falopi yang penting bagi fisiologi reproduksi normal. Ekspresi enzim ini dipicu oleh keberadaan gamet di tuba falopi. Enzim ini penting untuk keberhasilan pembuahan, pembelahan embrio, dan transit embrio.

Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui peran ekspresi mRNA BAFF, SOD, dan GPx pada salpingitis akut, salpingitis kronis, dan tuba normal, serta mengetahui hubungannya dengan derajat peradangan pada tuba falopi

Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi cross sectional dengan jumlah 20 orang pada setiap kelompok yang dinilai ekspresi mRNA SOD, GPx, dan BAFF. Sampel diambil dari blok parafin pasien dengan salpingitis kronis, salpingitis akut, dan tuba normal paska salpingektomi, kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan mRNA dengan metode RT-PCR. Pemeriksaan peradangan pada tuba dilakukan dengan Hershlag and Selfar Score. Data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan SPSS untuk Windows versi 26.0.

Kesimpulan: Terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara ekspresi mRNA BAFF, ekspresi mRNA SOD, dan GPx pada salpingitis kronis dan akut. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara ekspresi mRNA BAFF, mRNA SOD, dan mRNA GPx dengan derajat peradangan pada tuba falopi pada salpingitis akut dan salpingitis kronis.

Abstracts


Background: Salpingitis affects around 15% of women of reproductive age, leading to infertility 2.5% of cases. B cell activation factor (BAFF) is a proinflammatory cytokine that regulates innate and adaptive immune responses. The expression of BAFF mRNA is higher in inflamed human fallopian tubes than in normal ones. SOD and GPx are detoxifying enzymes in the fallopian tubes that play a crucial role in normal reproductive physiology. The expression of this enzyme is triggered by the presence of gametes in the fallopian tube. This enzyme is important for successful fertilization, embryo division, and embryo transit.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the role of BAFF, SOD and GPx mRNA expression in acute salpingitis, chronic salpingitis, and normal tubes and to determine their relationship with the degree of inflammation in the fallopian tubes. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a total of 20 participants in each group to evaluate the mRNA expression of SOD, GPx, and BAFF. The samples were obtained from paraffin blocks of patients with chronic salpingitis, acute salpingitis, and normal tubes after salpingectomy, and then were examined for mRNA by RT-PCR method. The degree of tubal inflammation was assessed using Hershlag and Selfar Score. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 26.0.

Conclusion: There was a significant positive correlation between BAFF mRNA expression and SOD and GPx mRNA expression in chronic and acute salpingitis. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between the expression of BAFF mRNA, SOD mRNA, and GPx mRNA with the degree of fallopian tube inflammation in acute salpingitis and chronic salpingitis.
