This research aims to 1) analyze the level of knowledge exchange of the Soil Test Device (PUTS) innovation among farmers participating in soil health management training in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, 2) analyze the readiness level for adopting the Soil Test Device (PUTS) innovation among participants of the soil health management training in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, 3) analyze the direct effect of knowledge exchange activities among farmers participating in soil health management training on the readiness to adopt the Soil Test Device (PUTS) innovation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and 4) analyze the indirect effect of knowledge exchange activities among farmers participating in soil health management training on the readiness to adopt the Soil Test Device (PUTS) innovation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The indirect effect is mediated by the farmers' attitudes, human capital, and motivation.

This study involved 170 farmers participating in soil health management training, obtained through a census in Sleman, Bantul, and Kulon Progo districts, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach and descriptive analytical method. Data were analyzed using a proportion test to address the first objective. The results indicated that more than 50% of farmers participating in the soil health management training had a low level of knowledge exchange among farmers. Farmers seldom shared or collected information related to PUTS from their peers. The second objective was addressed using TRI analysis. The analysis results showed that the farmers' readiness level was still at a medium level. Limitations in accessing the required chemicals and a lack of self-confidence in their own abilities made farmers reluctant to adopt the PUTS innovation. The third and fourth objectives were analyzed using SEM-PLS, and the results showed that knowledge exchange among farmers had both direct and indirect effects on their readiness to adopt the PUTS innovation, mediated by human capital and attitudes.
