Evaluasi Usabilitas Dento-J sebagai Media Pembelajaran Mahasiswa Kedokteran Gigi Menggunakan Metode System Usability Scale (SUS), Performance Measurement, dan Retrospective Think Aloud

Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat potensi kegagalan anestesi lokal sebesar 7% - 10%. Kegagalan ini didominasi oleh kesalahan pemilihan teknik anestesi yang dilakukan. Dento-J merupakan dental phantom yang didesain untuk media pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa untuk menganestesi lokal. Kesiapan produk Dento-J tentu harus memenuhi fungsi dan tujuan dari alat tersebut. Evaluasi usabilitas diperlukan untuk mengukur Dento-J telah mudah dioperasikan dan sesuai dengan fungsinya. Pengujian usabilitas Dento-J melibatkan 12 partisipan yang memiliki latar belakang pada bidang kedokteran gigi. Analisis usabilitas ini ditinjau dari 4 aspek yaitu efektivitas, efisiensi, learnability dan kepuasan pengguna. Pada aspek efektivitas dan efisiensi memiliki kesimpulan bahwa tingkat kesalahan tertinggi terletak di tugas 5. Selain itu, eror yang terjadi didominasi oleh eror tipe I akibat human error sebesar 98%. Pada aspek learnability, tugas 1, 2, 4, 5 dan 9 memiliki durasi waktu penyelesaian yang stabil dimulai dari iterasi kedua. Berdasarkan interpretasi skor SUS, Dento-J dinilai dari acceptability ranges berada pada kategori acceptable, berdasarkan grade scale termasuk kedalam kelas B dan berdasarkan adjective ratings sebesar 75,42 termasuk pada kategori excellent. Sedangkan metode RTA menghasilkan tiga permasalahan dilengkapi rekomendasi perbaikan yang akan mengakomodasi perbaikan eror sebesar 69%.

Research shows that there is still a potential for local anesthesia failure of 7% - 10%. This failure is dominated by errors in the selection of anesthesia techniques performed. Dento-J is a dental phantom designed for learning media for students to perform local anesthesia. Dento-J product readiness must certainly fulfill the function and purpose of the tool. Usability evaluation is needed to measure DentoJ is easy to operate and in accordance with its function.

Usability testing of Dento-J involved 12 participants who had a background in dentistry. This usability analysis is reviewed from 4 aspects namely effectiveness, efficiency, learnability and user satisfaction. In the aspects of effectiveness and efficiency, it has been concluded that the highest error rate is located in task 5. In addition, errors that occur are dominated by type I errors due to human error by 98%. In the learnability aspect, tasks 1, 2, 4, 5 and 9 have a stable completion time duration starting from the second iteration. Based on the interpretation of SUS scores, Dento-J assessed from acceptability ranges is in the acceptable category, based on the grade scale is included in class B and based on adjective ratings of 75.42 is included in the excellent category. While the RTA method produces three problems with improvement recommendations that will accommodate 69% error correction.
