The Effect of Land Tenure on Rice Production, Production Efficiency and Farmer's Income in Sleman Regency

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh penguasaan lahan terhadap produksi padi, efisiensi produksi padi dan pendapatan petani. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sleman dengan sampel 30 petani. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi dianalisis dengan OLS regresi linear berganda menggunakan fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas, kemudian pengaruh penguasaan lahan terhadap produksi padi diketahui dengan menganalisis koefisien variabel boneka penguasaan lahan, efisiensi teknis relatif produksi padi diketahui dengan menganalisis intersep fungsi produksi dan variabel boneka penguasaan lahan, efisiensi alokatif produksi padi dapat diketahui dengan menghitung indeks efisiensi alokatif, pengaruh penguasaan lahan terhadap pendapatan usahatani padi petani, pendapatan petani di sektor pertanian, dan pendapatan rumah tangga petani dianalisis dengan uji t menggunakan One Way ANOVA yang kemudian diuji lanjut dengan uji Duncan pada uji Post Hoc. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa produksi padi dipengaruhi oleh luas lahan, tenaga kerja dalam keluarga, tenaga kerja luar keluarga, penggunaan pupuk TSP, dan pendidikan petani. Penguasaan lahan tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi padi. Penguasaan lahan tidak berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi teknis relatif produksi padi. Alokasi faktor produksi yaitu luas lahan dan tenaga kerja keluarga belum efisien sehingga penggunaannya perlu ditingkatkan untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan, sedangkan alokasi faktor produksi yaitu tenaga kerja luar keluarga dan pupuk TSP sudah tidak efisien lagi sehingga penggunaannya perlu dikurangi untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan. Penguasaan lahan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan usahatani padi petani, pendapatan petani dari sektor pertanian, dan pendapatan rumah tangga petani.

This study aims to determine the effect of land tenure on rice production, to determine the effect of land tenure on rice production efficiency and to determine the effect of land tenure on farmers’ income. The research was conducted in Sleman with 30 sample of farmers. Factors that affect the rice production were analyzed with Ordinary Least Square multiple linear regression analysis Cobb-Douglas production function, furthermore the effect of land tenure on production was known by analyze the intercept of dummy variables, the effect of land tenure on relative technical efficiency was known by analyze the intercept of production function, allocative efficiency of the use of production factors were known by calculating the allocative efficiency index, the effect of land tenure on rice income of farmers, farm income of farmers, and household income of farmers were known by t test of One Way ANOVA followed by Post Hoc test advanced by Duncan test. The results showed that the rice production factors possitively influenced by land size, family labor, non family labor, TSP fertilizer, and education. Land tenure did not effect on rice production. Land tenure did not effect on relative technical efficiency of rice production. Allocation of rice production factors of landsize and family labor have not been efficient yet so its use should still be improved to gain the maximum profit, while allocation of rice production factors of non family labor and TSP fertilizer were inefficient so its use should be reduced to gain the maximum profit. Land tenure did not effect on rice income of farmers, farm income of farmers, and household income of farmers.
