Konsep, Metafora Konseptual, dan Frame "Dewasa" dalam Unggahan Instagram #Dewasa

Penelitian ini menganalisis konsep sederhana, metafora konseptual, dan frame dalam ekspresi kebahasaan berupa kutipan (quotes) yang diunggah oleh pengguna media sosial Instagram di akun miliknya. Objek penelitian ini adalah ekspresi kebahasaan berkenaan dengan konsep dewasa. Sumber data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini ialah quotes yang diunggah di Instagram dengan tagar dewasa (#dewasa) dan studi kepustakaan terkait konsep-konsep kedewasaan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik baca dan catat, kemudian hasil penelitian disajikan dengan metode kualitatif.

Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat tujuh konsep sederhana terkait makna dewasa, yaitu dewasa sebagai sebagai kematangan sikap dan perilaku, dewasa sebagai sesuatu yang tidak menyenangkan, dewasa sebagai runtunan perubahan, dewasa sebagai tantangan, dewasa sebagai adaptasi realitas, dewasa sebagai upaya untuk memilih, dan dewasa sebagai kesadaran diri. Dari konsep sederhana, dibedah menjadi sembilan metafora konseptual, antara lain DEWASA ADALAH MATANG, PERUBAHAN, PROSES, TOPENG, PILIHAN, IKHLAS, PERJUANGAN, TENANG, dan KEPASTIAN. Terakhir, terdapat tujuh frame yang membentuk konsep dewasa tersebut antara lain, frame sikap dan pola pikir, frame nilai, frame keadaan, frame lingkungan sosial, frame kesadaran, frame waktu,  dan frame penerimaan.

This study analyzes simple concepts, conceptual metaphors, and frames in linguistic expressions in the form of quotes uploaded by Instagram social media users on their accounts. The object of this study is linguistic expression with regard to adult concepts. The source of data obtained in this study are quotes uploaded on Instagram with adult hashtags (#dewasa) and literature studies related to the concepts of adulthood. Data was collected using survey methods with reading and recording techniques, then the results of the study were presented with qualitative methods.

The results stated that there are seven simple concepts related to the meaning of adulthood, namely adulthood as maturity of attitudes and behavior, adulthood as something unpleasant, adulthood as a series of changes, adulthood as a challenge, adulthood as adaptation to reality, adulthood as an effort to choose, and adulthood as self-awareness. From a simple concept, it is dissected into nine conceptual metaphors, including ADULTHOOD IS MATURITY, CHANGE, PROCESS, MASK, CHOICE, SINCERITY, STRUGGLE, CALM, and CERTAINTY. Finally, there are seven frames that make up the adult concept, among others, frames of attitudes and mindsets, frames of grades, frames of circumstances, frames of the social environment, frames of consciousness, frames of time, and frames of acceptance.
