Distribusi dan Kelimpahan Komunitas Gastropoda sebagai Bioindikator Lingkungan di Embung Tambakboyo, Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta

Air merupakan kebutuhan primer bagi makhluk hidup. Konservasi air penting dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan air. Konservasi air yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya dengan pembangunan embung. Embung Tambakboyo merupakan salah satu embung yang memiliki fungsi sebagai konservasi air di wilayah Sleman yang berlokasi di Desa Maguwoharjo. Kegiatan masyarakat di sekitar area perairan embung seperti restoran dan kafe yang tidak memperhatikan lingkungan menyebabkan masuknya zat pencemar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi perairan Embung Tambakboyo dengan melakukan analisis distribusi dan kelimpahan komunitas gastropoda yang merupakan bioindikator dengan menggunakan alat sampling Dredge Petersen. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di lima titik berbeda di bagian inlet, outlet dan proses (tiga titik) untuk mengetahui perbedaan persebaran gastropoda akibat perbedaan kondisi perairan pada lima titik sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan software Microsoft Excel dan SPSS kemudian data ditampilkan dalam bentuk diagram. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah distribusi dan kelimpahan gastropoda dipengaruhi oleh faktor parameter fisika dan kimia serta kegiatan antropologis di sekitar perairan menyebabkan perubahan kondisi perairan. Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap distribusi dan kelimpahan gastropoda adalah kecepatan arus, tekstur substrat, oksigen terlarut, tempertur, alkalinitas, transparansi, kedalaman, nitrat, dan sulfat.

Water is a primary need for living things. Water conservation is important to fulfill the need for water. One of the ways to conserve water is by constructing a reservoir. Tambakboyo Reservoir is one of the reservoirs that has a function as water conservation in the Sleman area, which is located in Maguwoharjo. The existence of community activities around the waters of the reservoir such as restaurants and cafes that do not pay attention to the environment causes the entry of pollutants. This study aims to determine the condition of the waters of the Tamabakboyo reservoir by analyzing the distribution and abundance of the gastropod community which is a bioindicator using Dredge Petersen sampling tool. Sampling was carried out at five different points at the inlet, outlet and process (three points) to determine differences in the distribution of gastropods due to difference of the water condition. The data obtained were analyzed using Microsoft Excel  and SPSS software and then the data is displayed in the form of a diagrams. The The result of this study is that the distribution and abundance of gastropods are influence by physical and chemical parameters and also influence by the anthropologist activities that causing changes in water conditions. The physical and chemical parameters that affect density is current velocity, substrate texture, dissolved oxygen, temperature, alkalinity, transparency, depth, nitrate and sulfate.
