PENGGUNAAN NUTRIEN PAKAN PADA PERBEDAAN GENOTIP GEN GDF9 TERHADAP KECERNAAN, KESEIMBANGAN NITROGEN, DAN SIFAT REPRODUKSI KAMBING KACANG

This research aims to identify genotypes
based on single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of the GDF9 gene in Kacang goats
and its correlation with feed consumption, nutrient digestibility, nitrogen
balance, and litter size in Kacang goats. The research consists of three
stages. The first stage involves the isolation of the GDF9 gene from blood
samples of 29 Kacang goats. The second stage focuses on the association of
Kacang goat genotypes with body size data, including body length, chest
circumference, wither height, hip height, average daily gain (ADG), and the
number of offspring per birth (recording data). In the third stage, the
research is conducted on day 50 to collect feces and urine for calculating feed
consumption, nutrient digestibility, and nitrogen balance. These data are then
associated with the genotypes of Kacang goats. The genotypic data, body size,
and litter size are analyzed using an independent sample t-test, while the
association between genotypes and parameters of consumption, nutrient digestibility,
and nitrogen balance is analyzed by using a 2 × 2 factorial pattern in a
completely randomized design. The results show the presence of a SNP at
position g.3855 A>C, recognized by the enzyme MspI, in exon 2. There is no
correlation between genotypes AA and AC at SNP g.3855 A>C with body weight,
body length, chest circumference, wither height, hip height, ADG of both
genotypes, and litter size in two-year-old Kacang goats. A significant
interaction (P<0>C in Kacang goats regarding nutrient digestibility of PK,
NDF, g/kg BW0.75/day, N retained/N intake, biological value, and blood urea
levels. The AC genotype yields higher digestibility compared to the AA
genotype, which can be utilized to improve livestock reproduction. The AC
genotype at SNP g.3855 A>C can be used as a marker for selecting Kacang
goats with superior feed nutrient digestibility.
