Peran Kelekatan antara Orang Tua dan Anak terhadap Empati pada Remaja

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kelekatan antara orang tua dan anak terhadap empati pada remaja. Partisipan adalah remaja berusia 12 - 16 tahun yang tinggal bersama ayah dan ibu. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) oleh Armsden dan Greenberg (1987) untuk kelekatan dan skala Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) oleh Davis (1980) untuk empati. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda yang dilakukan kepada 115 remaja menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan orang tua secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap empati (F=32,273; R=0,604; p=0,00) dengan kontribusi sebesar 36,5%.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of attachment between parents and children on the empathy in adolescents. The participants were adolescent aged 12 - 16 years old who lived with their father and mother. The measurement tools used in this study were the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) by Armsden and Greenberg (1987) for attachment and Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) by Davis (1980) for empathy. The results of multiple linear regression analysis conducted on 115 adolescents showed that parental attachment simultaneously influences the empathy (F=32.273; R=0.604; p=0.00) with a contribution of 36.5%.
