Perilaku Keselamatan untuk Perlindungan Kesehatan Pekerja di Masa Pandemi COVID-19

COVID-19 merupakan risiko kesehatan dan tindakan pencegahan perlu dilakukan untuk meminimalisir dampak penyebarannya. Perilaku keselamatan adalah tindakan dasar yang dapat diadopsi setiap orang untuk mengurangi risiko terpapar SARS-CoV-2, virus penyebab COVID-19, ketika karyawan diharuskan bekerja dari kantor. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengeksplorasi perilaku keselamatan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Metode yang  digunakan yaitu convergent parallel mixed methods dengan partisipan sebanyak 323 karyawan mengisi kuesioner dan 5 partisipan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa karyawan yang bekerja langsung dari kantor telah menunjukkan perilaku keselamatan guna mengurangi risiko terpapar COVID-19. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan keterlibatan faktor organisasi yang mendorong terbentuknya iklim keselamatan, perbedaan individual (Pendidikan, persepsi resiko, kepribadian: conscientiousness, adopsi perilaku baru), dan karakteristik lingkungan kerja terhadap tindakan karyawan dalam memberlakukan protokol kesehatan.

COVID-19 is a health risk, and preventive measures need to be taken to minimize the contagion impact. Safety behavior is a basic action that everyone can take to reduce the risk of exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, when employees are required to work from the office. Research seeks to explore safety behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, the convergent parallel mixed method was applied, involving 323 employees responding to a questionnaire and five interview participants. The results show that employees from various sectors who use the work-from-office system have demonstrated safety behavior to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure. These results also show the involvement of organizational factors that drive the formation of a safety climate, individual differences (education, risk perception, personality: conscientiousness, and adoption of new behaviors), and characteristics of the work environment on employee actions in implementing health protocols.
