Perbandingan Morfologi Kelenjar Eksokrin Pankreas Ayam Broiler Penderita Omfalitis dan Ayam Sehat Umur 30 Hari

Omfalitis merupakan infeksi pada tali pusar dan kantung kuning telur. Infeksi ini dapat menyebabkan penurunan performa ayam broiler. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perubahan pada organ pankreas yang berperan dalam pencernaan nutrisi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan morfologi pankreas ayam broiler sehat dengan ayam broiler menderita omfalitis. Penelitian ini menggunakan 10 ekor ayam broiler dengan 5 ekor ayam sehat sebagai kelompok A dan 5 ekor ayam menderita omfalitis sebagai kelompok B. Ayam dipelihara dari DOC hingga berumur 30 hari kemudian dinekropsi dan sampel pankreas tiap ayam diambil. Sampel pankreas yang diambil dibuat preparat histopatologi dengan pewarnaan Hematoxylin-Eosin dan diamati di bawah mikroskop. Pengamatan difokuskan pada perbandingan jumlah unit asinus yang memproduksi zimogen kemudian dianalisis dengan Uji T. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa asinus pankreas yangmemproduksi zimogen pada ayam omfalitis memiliki jumlah yang lebih sedikit dari ayam sehat. Hasil uji T (n=10) menunjukkan P<0>

Omphalitis is an infection of the umbilical cord and yolk sac. This infection can cause a decrease in the performance of broiler chickens. This is caused by changes in the pancreas organ which plays a role in the digestion of nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in pancreatic morphology of healthy broilers and broilers suffering from omphalitis. This study used 10 broiler chickens with 5 healthy chickens as group A and 5 chickens suffering from omphalitis as group B. The chickens were reared from DOC until they were 30 days old and then necropsied and samples of the pancreas of each chicken were taken. Pancreatic samples taken were made histopathological preparations with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining and observed under a microscope. The observation was focused on the comparison of the number of acini units that produce zymogen and then analyzed by T test.
