HUBUNGAN FECAL SCORING CHART DENGAN JUMLAH EGG PER GRAM DALAM FESES ANJING YANG TERINFEKSI NEMATODA GASTROINTESTINAL

Anjing merupakan hewan yang dapat hidup berdampingan dengan manusia. Kenaikan jumlah populasi anjing dapat menimbulkan permasalahan, seperti meningkatnya kontaminasi lingkungan karena telur cacing dan larva yang berasal dari feses anjing. Infeksi cacing yang umum ditemukan pada saluran gastrointestinal anjing dapat berasal dari golongan nematoda. Metode untuk mengidentifikasi gangguan saluran gastrointestinal anjing dapat dilakukan dengan metode fecal scoring chart yang bertujuan mengevaluasi bentuk fisik (warna, bentuk, dan konsistensi) dari sampel feses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak hubungan antara fecal scoring chart dengan jumlah egg per gram dalam feses anjing yang terinfeksi nematodiasis. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel feses anjing sebanyak 99 sampel dari wilayah di Yogyakarta yang diuji dengan metode fecal scoring chart, uji sentrifugasi dan uji McMaster. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dengan metode Kormogorov-Smirnov dan uji korelasi Spearman. Dogs are animals that can coexist with humans. An increase in dog populations can cause problems, such as increased environmental contamination due to worm eggs and larvae derived from dog feces. Helminth infections commonly found in the gastrointestinal tract of dogs can come from the nematode class. The method to identify disorders of the gastrointestinal tract of dogs can be done with the fecal scoring chart method which aims to evaluate the physical shape (color, shape, and consistency) of the fecal sample. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between fecal scoring chart and the number of eggs per gram in the feces of dogs infected with nematodiasis. This study used 99 dog fecal samples from the region in Yogyakarta which were tested using fecal scoring chart methods, centrifugation tests and McMaster tests. The research data were analyzed using SPSS with the Kormogorov-Smirnov method and the Spearman correlation test.
