Pengaruh Pemberian Tepung Tulang Ikan Bandeng (Chanos chanos) dengan Metode Pengeringan Freeze Dry terhadap Kadar Testosteron Ayam Bangkok (Gallus gallus) Jantan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung tulang ikan bandeng yang diproses melalui freeze dry terhadap kadar testosteron ayam bangkok. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan sembilan ekor ayam yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok kontrol (K1) terdiri dari empat ekor ayam, sedangkan kelompok perlakuan (K2) terdiri dari lima ekor ayam. Tepung tulang ikan bandeng yang diproses melalui freeze dry kemudian diimbuhkan dalam pakan sebanyak 3,3 gram selama 35 hari. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan pada hari ke-0, 7, 14, 21, 28, dan 35. Sampel berupa serum darah yang akan diperiksa kadar hormon testosteron menggunakan metode EIA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hormon testosteron pada kelompok perlakuan lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok kontrol, yaitu pada kelompok kontrol 0,005±0,2 ng/ml, sedangkan pada kelompok perlakuan 0,52±0,03 ng/ml. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa kadar hormon testosteron pada kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan memiliki perbedaan yang tidak signifikan (p>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung tulang ikan bandeng selama 35 hari dapat meningkatkan kadar testosteron ayam bangkok meskipun tidak signifikan.

This study aims to determine the effect of giving milkfish bone powder which is processed through freeze dry on testosterone levels in bangkok roosters. In this study, nine roosters were used which were divided into two treatment groups. The treatment group (K1) consisted of four roosters, while the treatment group (K2) consisted of five roosters. Milkfish bone meal processed through freeze dry was added to the feed as much as 3,3 grams. The treatment was carried out for 35 days. Blood sampling was carried out on days 0, 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35. The samples examined were blood serum of bangkok roosters which testosterone levels would be checked using the EIA method. The results showed that there was an increase in the testosterone hormone in the treatment group which was higher than the control group, namely in the control group 0.005±0.2 ng/ml, while in the treatment group it was 0.52±0.03 ng/ml. Statistical analysis showed that testosterone levels in the control and treatment groups had no significant difference (p>0.05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that giving milkfish bone meal for 35 days can increase testosterone levels in bangkok roosters although there is no significant difference.
