Identity Crisis, Formation and Development in Rick Riordan's The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero

Penelitian ini menganalisis isu krisis identitas dan pencarian identitas diri dalam buku The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero. Studi ini mencoba untuk mengetahui proses dimana para karakter menghadapi krisis identitas mereka dan bekerja untuk mendapatkan kembali identitas diri mereka melalui analisis pengalaman karakter. Studi ini berfokus pada pengalaman karakter dengan krisis identitas. Teori perkembangan psikososial Erik Erikson memberikan kerangka untuk memeriksa perkembangan psikologis para karakter dan kesulitan yang mereka hadapi dalam mengembangkan identitas mereka. Menurut penelitian, para karakter melewati berbagai tahap perkembangan psikososial, dengan Jason melalui lima, Piper melalui tiga, dan Leo melalui dua. Tahapan ini menunjukkan tantangan mereka dengan kehilangan ingatan, keyakinan pada diri sendiri, keraguan diri, dan rasa identitas. Menghadapi kecemasan mereka, penyembuhan dari trauma sebelumnya, dan menemukan identitas diri mereka adalah pemicu perubahan para karakter dan realisasi diri. Teori perkembangan psikososial Erikson digunakan dalam penelitian untuk menunjukkan tujuan, tantangan, dan keberhasilan para karakter dalam pencarian identitas diri. Pada akhirnya, The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero adalah penelitian yang lebih dalam tentang identitas, penemuan diri, dan perjuangan yang dihadapi para pahlawan saat mencoba memulihkan diri mereka yang sebenarnya. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman baru yang penting tentang kompleksitas pembentukan dan perkembangan identitas diri dalam kaitannya dengan teori perkembangan psikososial.

This paper analyzes the issue of identity crisis and the search for self-identity in the book The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero. The study attempts to figure out how the characters deal with their identity crises and reclaim their self-identity through an analysis of the characters' experiences. The study focuses on the characters' experiences with an identity crisis. The psychosocial development theory of Erik Erikson provides a framework for examining the characters' psychological development and the difficulties they encounter in developing their identities. According to the study, the characters go through different stages of psychosocial development, with Jason going through five, Piper going through three, and Leo going through two. These stages showed their challenges with loss of memory, faith in oneself, self-doubt, and a sense of identity. Confronting their anxieties, healing from previous traumas, and discovering their self-identity are the triggers for the characters' changes and self-realization. Erikson's psychosocial development theory is used in the research to show the characters' goals, challenges, and achievements in the search for self-identity. In the end, The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero is a deeper examination of identity, self-discovery, and the struggles that the heroes encounter while attempting to restore their actual selves. The research offers important new understandings of the complexity of identity formation and development in psychosocial development theory.
