Gunung Lumpur Sidoarjo (LUSI) is the result of a natural phenomenon which is
still ongoing today with the composition of the mud from LUSI being clay minerals.
Remote sensing is carried out using ASTER L1T imagery, with the image being
processed using radiometric calibration, layer stacking, and quick atmospheric
correction (QUAC) stages and then using bandmath to produce images of clay
mineral extraction in the form of kaolinite, chlorite, illite, montmorillonite, and
smectite. The data totals 14,541 points which are then classified using the
Algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM) machine learning algorithm with 40%
of the data as training data for the Algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM)
algorithm training process and 60% of the data as testing data, the Algoritma
Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm training process (SVM) produces
the best hyperplane that was created using polynomial optimization with the
parameters used are the degree parameter with a value of 1 and the C parameter
with a value of 25. Furthermore, XRD data is used to validate the results of ASTER
image extraction which are classified using a machine learning algorithm Algoritma
Support Vector Machine (SVM) to produce that from the 5 XRD sampling points
there were 2 points that did not match the research results and 3 other points had
the same mineralogy as the research results, namely kaolinite and smectite but the
research results contained other clay minerals such as illite, chlorite, smectite, and
montmorilonit. The difference between the results of the research and the XRD data
can be caused by errors due to the influence of gravity on the satellite sensor,
besides that the difference in years in the two data can cause differences in the
results of the research.
