Disparitas pembangunan ekonomi antar kabupaten/kota di Sumatera Utara

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan struktur perekonomian Sumatera Utara, kemudian bagaimana tingkat disparitas pembangunan ekonomi antarkabupaten/kota di Sumatera Utara serta bagaimana korelasinya dengan angka pertumbuhan ekonomi pada periode 1993-2001. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Tipologi Klassen, Indeks Williamson, Indeks Theil, Indeks L dan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat disparitas di Sumatera Utara cenderung menurun, yang dimulai pada tahun 1993 sebagai tahun dengan tingkat disparitas tertinggi dan tahun 1998 sebagai tahun terendah dan terus menurun sampai tahun 2001. Dengan analisis korelasi Pearson ternyata tingkat disparitas pembangunan berkorelasi secara signifikan dan positif dengan angka pertumbuhan ekonomi.

This research was aimed to identify the pattern and structure of the economy, and the level disparity of economic development among regencies/municipalities in North Sumatra, and how it correlation with economic growth of year period 1993-2001. The analysis instrument used in this research was Klassen Typology, Williamson Index, Theil Index, L Index and analysis of correlation. The results of research indicate that the level disparity in North Sumatra tends to decrease, started in the year 1993 as year with the highest level disparity and year 1998 as year lowest and continue down until year 2001. With the analysis of Pearson correlation in the reality show the disparity indices of development have correlation to by significant and positive the economic growth number.
